La Casa di Tufo: Room "Serancia"

LA CASA DI TUFO is a unique medieval palazzo that was built in the 5th century where you can experience the atmosphere of the past yet have all the modern comforts of today. Each room has marvelous views of a private garden and of the medieval part of town. There is a radio in every room as well as private bath with massaging showers and foot massage. There are stone arches, original wooden ceilings and other medieval architectural elements as well as TV and exceptional WIFI access in the living room. The breakfast is a mix of Italian (pastry and cappuccino) and continental (bread, cheese, yogurt, granola, and fruit). The house is in the center of Orvieto within a few minutes walking distance to all the famous sights, including the grand Duomo (cathedral) with its famous frescoes of Signorelli, multiple museums, the underground caves, monuments, Etruscan ruins, the famous well of St. Patrick (Pozzo di San Patrizio) as well as many others. If you like archeological places we can organize a guided tour to some Etruscan cemeteries or to the caves of the famous “Fanum Voltumnae,” the most important spiritual Etruscan place, which was discovered in Orvieto after excavations of more than 50 years. If you want to relax after a morning of walking you can go to the hot water springs in the surrounding countryside of Orvieto (35 minutes by car). After that we can recommend to you a typical local restaurant where you can eat pasta like your grandmother used to make. We can also book a guided tour to a local Umbrian vineyard for you to enjoy wine tastings. Within Orvieto’s historic center there are many charming intimate restaurants where you can experience delicious authentic Umbrian cuisine which often includes truffles, porcini mushrooms, fresh vegetables, new olive oil and a terrific selection of wines from Umbria and Tuscany. The owner of LA CASA DI TUFO has a truffle dog and if you want she can show you the dog finding truffles in the woods. If you completely fall in love with Italy and want to stay for a longer visit, you can also learn Italian cooking at a nearby cooking school.

Col di Fiori - Fuoco - Peaceful Stay in Umbria

Fuoco is one of 5 rooms in our house called Col di Fiori. The house can easily accommodate up to 11 people. Col di Fiori is located in the calm countryside right between Assisi, Perugia and Gubbio, with many hiking and biking possibilities close by as well as a gorgeous view over the surrounding landscape of the Tiber valley. (access not suitable for low-laid cars!)

B&B San Giovanni di Montenero

The suite is part of the family home but feels completely separate with its own entrance into a spacious living area overlooking the olive trees. The large private bathroom is a little gem, with its individually cut marble tiles making a chequer board effect, fresh & light, with a marvellous window done in brick work which plays a wonderful effect when the light pours in on hot summer days! A saltwater pool surrounded by fragrant rosemary to share with our family & friends with unspoilt views.

Our Agriturismo Podere La Fornace is a historical place, family-owned for more than 200 years, only 3-4 kilometers or 5 minutes by car from the beautiful UNESCO world heritage town Assisi. The scenery is magic with the view on Assisi and the farmhouse being surrounded by vineyards, olive groves and fields of crops. La Fornace is perfect for guests who want to explore Umbria - pretty much all major sites can be reached within 60 minutes - but it is just as perfect to take a break and relax.

Confortevole b&b situato nel centro storico di Orvieto, di fronte al Teatro Mancinelli ed a pochi passi dal Duomo. Le camere sono dotate di tutto l'occorrente per poter gustare la prima colazione comodamente nella propria stanza: frigo, tostapane, bollitore e macchina del caffè/ the. Essendo dotata di entrata indipendente e salottino esterno, la camera Luna è sicuramente una delle più vendute del B&B Cantico delle Creature. Presenta degli arredi semplici ma ricercati ed è inoltre provvista di ogni comodità, rendendola perfetta per due persone. Tranquillità e una splendida vista della campagna umbra, sono tra gli elementi caratterizzanti di questa camera.

The apartment GELSO is the perfect choice for a 4 to 6 person family. On the ground floor there is the kitchen+living room+ 1 double bed room and toilette. Upstairs on the loft there is 1 double bed + 2 single bed. The entire apartment is decorated in a traditional way, a lot of wood and nature are the main characteristics, in order to respect the surrounding environment.
