Mendin' Fences is a working farm. During the summer months, we host horsemanship clinics. For more: you can find us on the web by the name of our farm. We are a great destination for a quiet getaway, a horse stopover, or even a family reunion if renting the additional bunkhouse. In each direction, you can find many activities to enjoy: Gatlinburg/Pigeon Forge; wineries; historical sites (Rogersville & Jonesborough in particular). Two airports are 50 min & 1.25 hrs away.

Historic year-round cabin along lakeshore w/dock

The lake home was built in the early 1930's to house the engineers constructing the entire TVA (Tennessee Valley Authority) system that created dams and hydro-electric power throughout the region. It also provided jobs that helped with employment during the Great Depression. A wonderful addition we made recently was a dock, which remains in the water from sometime in March until late October. Please note this is an old, quaint home. It has its quirks.

Located on Coyote Moon Ranch with 22 acres, bordering the Daniel Boone National Forest. Very peaceful, no city lights or noise. Amish made cabin with covered front porch and dedicated fire pit. Use our private lake, hike down to Lake Laurel or drive to boat ramp within 1 mile. Beautiful scenery and wildlife. Close to Cumberland Falls and many other Daniel Boone attractions.
