Bring your ATV's as you can ride them from the property directly to the trails, no trailering required! Minutes to Royal Blue and Tackett Creek trail heads and Lake Norris boat ramp. Stop at the gas station to fill up and grab snacks and ice, have breakfast at the Diner, and then head to the trails. After a days ride stop for dinner in town. Plenty of space and privacy in this cottage over looking the fields and pond. Sit back and relax watching the horses and goats graze. Located minutes away from Oak Ridge/Clinton/Knoxville. Melton Hill lake has outdoor activities, restaurant & nice walking trail and is 10 minutes away. University of TN is 23 minutes away and Oak Ridge is 13 minutes. The 16’ ceilings make this 480 sq. ft. space feel enormous. The Kitchen has a full size refrigerator, keurig, microwave & single burner hot plate.

The Ambleside Cottage

The Ambleside Cottage offers full privacy for a single or a couple looking for a serene getaway surrounded by the beauty of the Appalachian mountains. This magical cabin is conveniently located for travelers, yet Ambleside feel like a remote retreat nestled in the woods above Elk Fork Creek. The Cottage is an adorable tiny house, offering 500 square feet of living space with a kitchenette, a sitting area, and a bathroom with a shower. The queen-size bed is upstairs in the sleeping loft.

Ranger's Retreat cabin at Big South Fork

The Ranger's Retreat (RR) cabin by Big South Fork will give you all the privacy you want and still convenient to town for the essentials. All of this plus with one of the Southeasts' premier National Park area's in your backyard. The RR cabin is a genuine log cabin made of real white pine logs. It features 1 bedroom, 1 bathroom, kitchen, living room and a loft. The RR cabin is great for couples, but the loft with 2 twin beds provides room for a total of 4. Dog friendly (sorry no cats).

Historic year-round cabin along lakeshore w/dock

The lake home was built in the early 1930's to house the engineers constructing the entire TVA (Tennessee Valley Authority) system that created dams and hydro-electric power throughout the region. It also provided jobs that helped with employment during the Great Depression. A wonderful addition we made recently was a dock, which remains in the water from sometime in March until late October. Please note this is an old, quaint home. It has its quirks.

Mountian Side Home

The home backs the Appalachia Trail Mountain Range. There is county authorized, public road access for ATVs (All Terrain Vehicles) to the Wind Rock ATV Park and the City of Rocky Top, TN. (windrockpark.com) The home is close to the interstate. Norris Dam, Norris Lake access and Norris Dam State park are less than a 10 minute drive. Many other local attractions. This is a nice, private getaway.

Quiet Retreat Near Norris Lake, NON-SMOKERS ONLY!

This is a well appointed delightful, completely and comfortably furnished SMOKEFREE 2 bedroom, one bath apartment located on the ground floor of our house. The surroundings include over an acre of thickly wooded area with ample parking for both cars and boats. About one half mile down the road is the very upscale Twin Cove marina. We do not allow animals.
