You’ll find yourself in a spacious and inviting farmhouse boasting modern and traditional amenities including range cooker, wood burner, Smart TV's, and character beams, perfect for creating a comfortable and relaxing atmosphere. Even enjoy some friendly competition in the games room, equipped with a pool table. Outside, unwind in the newly installed wood-fired hot tub.

Dodd Cottage is a dog-friendly, airy barn conversion at the foot of Skiddaw & 1 mile from Bassenthwaite. It has a mezzanine double bedroom on the first floor and a twin bedded room on the ground floor. The lounge has a dining table & chairs, with two sofa's arranged around the TV. Also on the ground floor is the well-equipped kitchen and shower room with shower, washbasin & WC. Outside there is an enclosed garden with picnic bench & BBQ. Shared games room with table tennis and pool table.

Dating back to 1695 (as engraved on the fireplace in the kitchen), the cottage retains many original features but has been sympathetically modernised. The cottage resides within our farm, Terrace Farm with open countryside and panoramic views of the Lakeland Fells and numerous Wainwrights including Melbreak, Whiteside, Low Fell, Hopegillhead to name but a few.

Switch off in quiet Bassenthwaite village in peaceful valley between lake & mighty Skiddaw mountain, 15 mins from popular market town Keswick - enjoy an open fire, Sun Inn pub 2 mins away (booking recommended), walks for all abilities (many from the door) & our runner ducks - if you want quieter lakes, villages & towns or the most popular locations, all accessible. 12 noon checkout on Sundays after 2 night weekends.
