A 5 minutes' walk down to the town's restaurants, pubs & shops, and good transport links to Matlock, Bakewell, Chatsworth House and Derby. Walkers can explore the High Peak Trail directly from the cottage.

The cottage is located in one of the oldest parts of Wirksworth, where miners cottages were randomly built around the hillside with a unique maze of paths and 'ginnels' (alleyways). Lots of independent shops and cafes & quirky pubs. Not forgetting Wirksworth's very own 'cool' & independent cinema!
