Escape the city and relax in this Hampton style hideaway. Sip your morning coffee as the mist clears over the lake. This house sits on a quiet 3000 square meters corner sight, with extensive views of Lake Taupo. Hidden from the road, and out of view from the neighbours, it is the perfect retreat and base for your next Taupo adventure. Sunsets are Spectacular, and best viewed from the undercover outside terrace, or while sitting in the Alpine Spa. On a colder evening inside next to the fire.

Open plan kitchen and dining ensure no one misses out. The deck is a late afternoon sun trap. Enjoy barbeques in the evening with uninterrupted lake and mountain views. as the sun sets on your very special holiday. This holiday home has been well thought out. It is modern, stylish and fresh. You will feel invigorated after your stay.

Marigold Cottage - Includes Bikes & Kayaks

Beautifully presented and positioned for all-day sun, this is a great base for your next Taupo escape. Walk/bike to town and the lake, or drive in just 2 minutes. The home is warm and comfortable with a large boat shed to store your toys. There are 2 kayaks and 2 retro cruiser bikes for you to use. The kitchen and bathroom are modern with new flooring throughout. The property is fully fenced and close to several playgrounds and takeaway shops. The outdoor bath is utter bliss all year round.

We warmly welcome you to our exceptional John Scott home with a private apartment and cosy radiators - rare in NZ! John Scott is one of NZ’s premier architects renowned for designing unique buildings. Our home doesn’t disappoint and we’re delighted to share it with the Air BnB community. A self contained wing of our home sits in a tranquil spot. A five minute drive or a stroll along the lakefront will get you into town. We’re a few minutes walk from the Botanical Gardens and the lakefront.

We hope you will enjoy this newly renovated 2 bedroom house. Open Plan living with restored native timber floors. 2 queen sized rooms. Large bathroom. Cozy Lounge. Lake & Mountain views. 10 min stroll down hill to the lake/2 mile bay. 5 minute walk to local dairy/shop. 7 minute drive to centre to main town centre. Max guests is 4 including children & infants. Sorry - airbnb settings do not allow us to specify this in guest number settings, they only let us exclude children completely.

Dreamy sunsets over Lake Taupo & Ruapehu

Our modern home is 15 minutes from Taupō yet feels like a private hideaway. Quiet and secluded, it looks out to Lake Taupō and Mount Ruapehu, with stunning sunsets. Ideal year-round, it has outdoor areas with BBQ, large windows and a double-sided fireplace. Whakaipo Bay is 5 minutes away for swimming or walking, with plenty of bush tracks nearby. Not suitable for children. Hairdryer, toiletries and iron not provided (sorry guests keep taking them and it’s to hard to constantly replace).

“THE VIEW, your photos don’t do it justice!” guests exclaim. View of the lake, mountain, nature. Approx 150m to Acacia Bay Beach to enjoy our pristine freshwater lake. The cottage is modern, comfortable & well equipped - full oven/hobs, fr/fr, Dolce Gusto coffee maker, fibre i/net, iron/board, hairdryer, Washing Machine with laundry pwd, & drier all inc'ed. 7km to Taupo town - close enough to visit town but away from the bustle. Uber or taxi available if you do not have a vehicle.

Enjoy breath taking panoramic views across Lake Taupo, Mount Tauhara and the White Cliffs. This holiday house consists of 4 bedrooms, 1 living room with new aircon, 1 family room with powerful aircon and fireplace, 3 bathrooms including a masters en suite with balconies, the bedrooms are facing towards the lake, you will wake up to the amazing view of the lake. New concrete car park and another car port with shed, plenty of car parking for boat, van and trailers in front of the house.
