Trillium Cottage at Lake Santeetlah

Trillium Cottage is situated on 2.5 heavily wooded acres overlooking the Snowbird Mountains and Lake Santeetlah. This very private two bedroom, one-story cottage sleeps 6 (two queen beds, one sleeper sofa) and has two full baths. The clean contemporary decor features artwork by regional artists and new comfortable furnishings. This is a place to relax, unwind, enjoy a good book, time on the lake, take a beautiful drive on the Cherohala Skyway, hike one of the many nearby trails, check out the artists in Stecoah, cook your favorite foods or simply take in the nature around you. *If you have a group larger than Trillium Cottage can accommodate and looking for an additional cottage close by, please check out Sundance Cottage. It's a very short walk away and can accommodate 7. **ATTENTION: The last 1.5 miles to my cottage is a forest service gravel road and one part is a bit steep. Front or All wheel drive is recommended.

The Bothy - 28 acre private retreat

This custom designed, modern cabin is made for connecting with nature in comfort. The cabin sits by itself on 28 private acres with meadows, forest, a small creek, and trails. You have privacy and space to wander and are still just 15 minutes to town, 10 minutes to Lake Santeetlah, and 1 mile off the Cherohala Skyway. A Bothy is a Scottish term for a small simple farm building that travelers can shelter in. The cabin and land are a perfect place to relax in the Appalachian mountains.

Your vehicle will require at least 5 to 6 inches of clearance to safely traverse the road but accessible for vehicles with trailers up to 14 ft. A small price to pay for literally living on the dragon. A 2 bedroom loft with bathroom, full kitchen, reading nook, and air conditioning. Loft is over a detached 3 car garage with private exterior stairway and plenty of parking space.

This one of a kind, like new, white pine, 2/2 log cabin is absolutely perfect in every way! Cathedral ceilings, rock fireplace, comfortable rooms, large bathrooms, wood floors, fully equipped kitchen, great room with picture window, wrap around deck! The cabin is equipped with linens/towels and most everything you need to cook a meal., just bring groceries and personal items. This cabin is also handicap accessible. WIFI is now available. Firefly- A cozy mountain getaway

Step into nature’s paradise! Watch the fireflies while listening to the babbling creek from the screened in porch. Firefly, a 2 bedroom house tucked in the woods, is near Fontana and Lake Santeetlah. It’s a short drive to the the Smoky Mountains, Cherohala Skyway, Joyce Kilmer Memorial Forest, Blue Ridge Parkway, and Tail of the Dragon. The house is located 3 miles from the Appalachian Trail. WE NOW HAVE WIFI!!! No RVs allowed.
