Schmitten liegt auf einer Sonnenterrasse über dem Landwasser-Viadukt, dem Wahrzeichen der Rhätischen Bahn, im "Park Ela" dem grössten Naturpark der Schweiz mit unbegrenzten Freizeitmöglichkeiten.
