Stayed here for 2 nights for the bank holiday weekend. The area was beautiful, the Lodge itself was modern and very clean. It made for a perfect get away with the private Hot Tub and cosy fireplace over looking the scenic view. Lodge was very private and secure. They provided firewood and blankets for the nights we were there and hosted a small shop for immediate conveniences such as drinks and snacks. Their information booklet had detailed lists of local shops, restaurants and nearby walks which was amazing, it saved us a lot of effort in a new area trying to find things to explore. We didn't get chance to check out the farm they had with several animals but were lucky enough to have the farm house cats come visit us each morning which we loved!

Location was stunning, the host was lovely and it has beautiful walks on the doorstep. Hot tub definitely worth the extra money as elevates the stay to another level. The dog thoroughly enjoyed his stay as well!

We had such a lovely time at the shepherds hut, a perfectly peaceful and quiet get away - just what we needed! Great location for picturesque walks. We walked along Offas Dyke took 2.5 hrs straight from the hut. The local town had everything you needed only a short drive or 20 min walk away. We grabbed a takeaway pizza from Daphnes which was very delicious. Despite wet weather all weekend it did not dampen our spirits. The covered kitchen was a perfect location to cosy up and watch the thunder and lightning. It had everything you needed to make breakfast. The provided bread, bacon, eggs & milk were a lovely addition. The bed was very very comfy and the hut was clean, tidy & cosy. The hill up to the hut is steep but the provided wheelbarrow helped. Leaving in the rain was hilarious.

If you are looking for someone to escape to with the peace and tranquility of the countrywide with just a sprinkling of natural farm noise - this is the place to be. We had a really relaxing few days here and Rosalind was very helpful and in hand if you need anything. We always had a friendly greeting from the 3 dogs who would be delighted with a belly scratch. Loved it here.

Lovely place to spend a few days in peace in quiet. The hot tub was amazing and the hosts are very friendly. The hut is in close proximity to the Wye Valley, which is a great place to explore.

We had such a lovely, relaxing time during our stay! The space was clean, cozy, and exactly what we needed to unwind. Everything was thoughtfully set up and made us feel right at home. Communication with Jon was easy and smooth from start to finish. We would definitely love to come back and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a peaceful getaway!

My partner, our dog and I had a wonderful 3 nights at Graham and Pip's Shephard huts. The views were spectacular and exactly what we were expecting from the listing! The bedroom was extremely cosy, especially when we had the log burner going and we were sat reading our books drinking tea. The kitchen had everything we needed, including a delicious loaf of homemade bread, and the bathroom was super clean; the shower was a real warm treat after a day of walking in the rain! There are some lovely walks accessible from the huts, if you don't want to travel too far out. Also, I promise that if you weren't a fan of bird watching (or listening) before, you definitely will be after your stay! Thank you Pip and Graham for providing us with the perfect retreat to nature we both strongly craved to escape the stressful 9-5 working life. We would 100% recommend to anyone wanting to switch off from their phones, and connect a bit more with the nature around us.

I don’t have enough words to describe how beautiful this hut is! It’s a great place to stay for hiking around the Brecon Beacons area. Most places are a short journey away. At night it’s nice to sit around the fire, with barely any noise except the occasional baaaa from the sheep which was very welcoming. If you catch a clear night the stargazing is phenomenal. Waken up in this hut is breathtaking, the views are out of this world especially if your used to the town life!! The host was amazing, very informative, supplied eggs & bread for breakfast. We couldn’t believe our eyes seeing a fresh unstamped egg (proper in city people I know) they were delicious! I could write an essay about how amazing this place is but I’m running out of characters! I will be back & 100% will be recommending to my friends and family! See you soon, thanks again!! X

We had a fantastic stay. The enclosed garden was great for our dog and the views were amazing. The Hut was equipped with everything you’d need with plenty of towels and always plenty of hot water. The Hot Tub was perfect. Would highly recommend and will definitely book again.

We loved our stay here! One of the nicest Shepherd’s Huts I have stayed in; everything was thought about and couldn’t have asked for more. We had lots of plans to go out exploring but we felt so relaxed in the hut we ended up staying in. Would definitely recommend.

Absolutely lovely stay! Rachel was a brilliant host and would reply to any messages straight away. The location was amazing and private, in a really good location & had gorgeous views. Really comfy bed, has everything you need. Also love the idea of no WiFi !

We had a lovely, long weekend at The Hut on the Hill - it’s a lovely little space, with brilliant views (from the hut and the hot tub!). It was a very short and convenient drive to many sites for woodland walks in the Forest of Dean, which we and the dogs thoroughly enjoyed. The grounds around the hut are also secure, so it was great for them to be able to have some space to relax. Mandy and David are proactive hosts who were happy to leave us to our own devices but also drop us a message to check all was well. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, thank you!

The place is absolutely stunning and really peaceful. Alice was very accommodating about everything and we had a great time. The hot tub is amazing and yes it does take time to heat up, but when you’re surrounded by such a beatific scenery you don’t mind waiting whilst you soak it all up. I would highly recommend it!

We had the most amazing stay celebrating our little girl’s first birthday at this beautiful shepherd’s hut! Jill was so lovely and welcoming, she greeted us personally and even left a gorgeous hamper for us, which was such a thoughtful surprise. The hut was cozy, peaceful, and perfect for a relaxing break. Our daughter loved every minute of her birthday holiday. One day, we took a scenic drive to Alton Towers—it's not far at all and made for a fun day out. After a day of walking and exploring, the hot tub was the perfect way to relax, and we also enjoyed a delicious dinner at The Old Hall nearby. We couldn’t have asked for a better place to make memories, and we’ll definitely be back. Highly recommend! Stacey, Joe & Baby Olive xx

Absolutely blown away by how beautiful the nest was! So clean and comfortable, could not fault it. Lucy and Dan were always on hand and made sure we had everything we needed. Surroundings were amazing and would highly recommend this for anyone looking for a peaceful getaway.

We had an amazing stay here! Everything was spotless, including the bathroom. The hut was lovely and warm, with everything you need. The area was beautiful, with donkeys, horses and the lovely farm dog who came to visit us a few times. We felt very safe staying here. We were only a couple minutes drive from Conwy but it was also an easy 20 minute walk into the town. As well, it was a great location for hiking/ walking. With some beautiful trails only a 30 minute drive away. Would definitely recommend staying here! Thank you😊

We enjoyed a restful and restorative weekend at the Meadow View Shepherd's Hut. The aspect of the hut is absolutely stunning, looking out over views of the Shropshire hills. The space feels incredibly private and has so many thoughtful touches, including BBQ and firepit equipment. David was really friendly and provided helpful instructions on finding the property as well as local guidance. We'd love to visit again in the near future!

Sue’s place is absolutely stunning, photos do not do it justice! We were so lucky with the weather, but the place is stunning regardless. Super secluded and private, the garden is well enclosed meaning our German Shepard could have a great run around.. The hot tub was fantastic and was a welcome relief from the heat during the day when it was cooler. Super comfy bed…we probably brought a bit too much food in hindsight as we couldn’t fit everything in the fridge, so if you plan to do your own meals maybe bring along a cool box etc. Such an amazing stay, thanks so much Sue.

I stayed here for 3 nights & it was absolute perfection. It was incredibly clean, cozy, peaceful & extremely dog friendly. The location couldn’t have been better for all the hikes I had planned in the peaks. I only wish I could have stayed longer & I absolutely will next time. The host is also very responsive & accommodating. 10/10, highly recommend!

had a fantastic stay at the shepherds hut! The hut was very clean and cosy with everything provided. the surrounding views of the hills and mountains were outstanding! Beth as a host was amazing, she made sure we had everything we need and went extra doing things like lighting the hot tub so it was ready for our arrival. my gf and I are already talking about coming back, I couldn't recommend this place enough!

Our week here was absolutely glorious. I would highly recommend this as a wonderful place to stay. This is one of the best huts we've ever been to. It was immaculate and the views were outstanding. Watching the sunset here from the hot tub should be on everyone's bucket list. Manon is an excellent host and went out of her way to welcome us. We are already planning our second trip.

We enjoyed a beautiful night stay here after a walk in the Brecon Beacons and a trip to the beach. The hut was perfect for a cosy evening and Alison could not have been more helpful, providing logs for a fire and a welcome hamper on arrival. We loved having Daisy the goat as our neighbour and spent a great evening by the fire watching the lambs. We will definitely be back!
