Woodpecker Cottage (Dog Friendly)

Set in the pretty, sandstone village of Great Salkeld, Woodpecker Cottage is the perfect Cumbrian retreat. This single storey dog friendly cottage, comfortably sleeps 2 and has the use of a large garden. You’ll love Great Salkeld with its excellent village pub, ancient church and its many countryside walks. The village is set in the tranquil Eden Valley, close to the river Eden. Just 10 miles from the Lake District National Park, it makes an ideal base from which to explore this stunning region.

Stonecrop is a much loved cottage and enjoys a tranquil setting with a large, attractive garden, situated in a stunning part of Northumberland. Guests are welcome to wander through our adjoining field to reach the banks of the river South Tyne. It was built in 1760 and has retained its original character whilst benefiting from all mod cons. Many guests return year after year and dogs are welcome too. Stonecrop is within easy reach of Hadrian’s Wall, the Yorkshire Dales, the Borders and Lakes.

Sunnyside is a charming detached sandstone home in the Eden Valley. Set in a popular, well-serviced village with a small supermarket and pub it offers off-street parking, a terraced garden with stunning views and spacious accommodation for families or groups. With 3 bedrooms (2 king sized beds and 1 twin room) sleeping up to 6 guests and 2 living rooms, whether you're exploring the Lakes, relaxing by the fire or dining al fresco, Sunnyside is your perfect base for a peaceful countryside escape.

The Retreat

This unique place has a style all its own. Built in 2023, this boutique two ensuite bedroom apartment, with each room individually designed and decorated has every comfort. Park at your own entrance to this ground floor accomodation, with outside dining area & bbq. Opens up to field area to exercise your dog & family alike (please note, as shows on pictures, this area is not fully fenced). Within the immediate area are stunning walks & cycle routes. Close enough to the Lake District and Pennines for day trips or simply enjoy the attractions right on the doorstep such as Long Meg's Stone Circle, Kirkoswald Castle and Lacy's Caves. Mark Close Farmhouse

A beautiful, cosy 18th century Farmhouse in the North Pennines AONB. Sleeping up to 20 guests, it's a great house for big family and friends get-togethers and celebrations. There's a large kitchen where everyone can eat together at one table and two living rooms to relax in. It's a great base for groups wanting to explore Cumbria, Northumberland and Durham. The house is surrounded by fields, fells and open countryside but just a short walk from Alston and its friendly pubs, cafes and shops.

Nestled in the picturesque Eden Valley, just 20 minutes from the Lake District, this one-bedroom cottage offers a peaceful retreat. Set in a beautifully converted barn with oak beams, it's the ideal getaway for small families, couples, friends, and solo travellers. Melmerby village is home to the welcoming Shepherd’s Inn pub and the award-winning Village Bakery. For everyday essentials, the local shop in Langwathby is nearby, and the towns of Penrith and Alston are just a short drive away.

Todd Hills Hall Farm

The perfect place to bring together friends and family. A beautiful rural Cumbrian sandstone home offering six double ensuite bedrooms with stunning views west to the Lake District Fells and east to the Pennines. The large handmade oak table in the kitchen and the dining room table converted for billiards are magnets for impromptu gatherings. Light the fire pit or BBQ in the large enclosed private garden or, if the Cumbrian mists kick in, settle in around the cast iron stove log fire.

Eden Valley hideaway - Hinds Loft

After a day exploring the beautiful countryside on your doorstep, watch the sunset from this lovely little cottage for two, newly converted from the byre and loft of a traditional sandstone barn. Peaceful and self-contained, but just across the courtyard from our Victorian farmhouse, it has everything you need for a comfortable stay with a well-equipped kitchen and wifi. The property is set on a smallholding in a picturesque Cumbrian village at the bottom of Hartside pass.

Rural 3-bedroom cottage in quiet village

Our mid-terraced cottage sleeps up to five guests in its three well-presented bedrooms, one of which is en-suite. The heart of the home is its living room, complete with a multi-fuel stove which brings some extra cosiness in the colder months, or somewhere to dry your boots after a day in the fells. We have free parking for two cars on the driveway outside the house, and around the back is a shared garden with outdoor seating, ideal for al fresco dining when the sun is shining!
