It’s was an ideal Airbnb with a pool and playground for my kids to play. Excellent location with a peaceful environment.

Mike and Carol were wonderful hosts. Their cottage is beautiful and exceeded our expectations in every way! We will gladly stay there again the next time we are in town.

This was a very lovely spot for a weekend get away. It had the benefit of feeling very private, secluded, and safe while also being no more than a 15 minute drive from activities and places to eat. I would recommend this spot to anyone looking for a nice, quiet place to spend some time with family or friends.

The house was beautiful and very clean, also it was perfect for my pets. The instructions were very easy to follow and the host responded to me very quickly. When I visit my family in Louisiana again I will definitely try to get that same place. It was very nice.

Myrtle cottage is everything we expected and more, but the true gem is Bobbie herself. She has a beautifully appointed house, meticulously clean and she has thought of everything to make you feel welcome. We frequently visit the North Shore and this is by far and away the top choice of all the places we have stayed. She takes Southern hospitality to a new level! We enjoyed the wildlife, beautiful surroundings and peaceful property. There are plenty of places to explore and visit within 20-30 minutes, and the restaurants in the area will not disappoint. We look forward to returning to this little slice of heaven and visiting Bobbie our resident Southern angel.

Loved this place! I’m an Airbnb host so I’m shamefully picky about places. This place was terrific. Love that there were different pillows in the closet so you could find the one you like best, there’s coffee, creamer, and sugar, and we really enjoyed sipping coffee on the deck. Great location close to the water. Wish we could have stayed longer!

very peaceful stay secluded from surrounding areas and a good location for a day trip to New Orleans and good restaraunts around.

We enjoyed our stay very much. We were in town for our daughter's wedding. The place was very close to the church, reception venue, hair salon, and any other stores that we needed to get to pick up last minute items. The neighborhood is quiet and beautiful, situated near the lake. Marcelle was very accommodating and responded to our questions quickly. We had a party of 6 adults, and there was plenty of room for us to gather, relax, and prepare for the wedding without being in one another's way. The home is beautifully appointed, and we had everything we needed to keep groceries and cook meals during our stay. We highly recommend a stay at The Cottage on the Lake.
