Shepherd's Hut Glamping on a Smallholding

Secluded glamping getaway from every day life. The Shepherd’s Hut @ Willowdene House is located away from it all yet close enough to enjoy all that Northumberland has to offer - from the scenary of coast & hills to historic properties, art galleries & gardens to visit. The hut has a double bed and kitchen. Outside is a seating area with fire pit. Composting toilet & outdoor shower are located in separate sheds. Our beautiful shepherd's hut sits in four acres of secluded woodland in rural Hexhamshire. Enjoy the peaceful solitude, with glimpsed views through the mature oaks onto the North Pennines. Surrounded by miles of footpaths, bridleways and moorland, there are walking, cycling and riding options in every direction. Nearby rural pubs offer delicious local ales and fantastic food; or try some home raised, rare breed pork over the firepit grill, then a drink on the raised deck in the evening sun.

The Humble Hut is cosy with everything you need to feel at home. On warm days, open the top dutch door and let the air flow through and when its cold its great to snuggle up by the fire. Outside there is a private area that is ideal for sunbathing or having lunch or a glass of wine. There is seating around the hut so what ever time of day you can find a place to sit in the sun and admire the stunning views. At night if the sky is clear you can star gaze as we are in a dark sky area.
