Sundial Cottage, Northumberland National Park

Located in the Northumberland Village of Netherton this 2 bed cottage located within the Northumberland national Park. The cottage was previously owned by the Armstrong family owners of Craigside and Bambrugh Castle. In the past its been a post office and a sweet shop. Part of a Steading (barn) sympathetically converted in 2006, overlooking woods and fields from its own enclosed garden. The cottage is ideaI for exploring the Scottish Borders and Northumberland. One hour by car from Edinburgh, 35 mins from Lindisfarne and 45 mins from Bamburgh. If you'd like to leave the car at home and cycle to us it is 13 miles from the station at Berwick-upon-Tweed. Tucked away down a small lane, you can walk or cycle from the door or simply sit and watch the wildlife.

WINDY HALL - Secluded luxury with stunning views

Windy Hall is somewhere very special. High in the Pennines it offers one of the most magnificent views in England. You may want to stay and enjoy the peace & quiet, but we are ideally placed for trips west to the Lake District, east to the magnificent cathedral city of Durham, and north to Hadrian's Wall. It's unusual in that you have to walk the last 240 metres to the house, though we will bring up your luggage in our 4WD. But don't let this put you off; please just read our reviews!

A wonderful spot from which to explore the rugged Northumbrian coastline, idyllic countryside and magnificent, enchanted castles. Wildhope View is a cosy, romantic retreat with spectacular views of the rolling hills of the Aln valley and the, “18 arches” viaduct built in 1849 by Robert Stephenson.
