Great place to stay! The bed was so comfortable! There were little touches/ upgrades all around the house, that are very thoughtful and accommodating! Would recommend.

Pam was a great host. She was exceptionally quick to respond. She and her husband were very friendly. The house had great views of the lake, river and wetlands. We could even see an active eagle nest. The horses and chickens were an added bonus! There are neighbors but it was still pretty quiet. The house was clean and had everything we needed for a nice stay. We would not hesitate to return.

Contacted Cathy a couple of times; she was quick to respond. My mom used the oven for breakfast and a dessert. The oven while old was working perfectly. Maintained temperature and cooked evenly. Mom is in her 70’s and used to own a bakery and still bakes fresh desserts twice weekly at her sister’s restaurant. Not your modern day junk. Plenty of restaurants room for 6 adults and wad easy to get to. Passed on the location to other relatives so they could have a better option than local hotels. Would stay again!

Overall great stay, may not be for everyone with some of the hunting decor but it very much gives off cozy cabin vibes which more than accommodated for our needs. A full kitchen of pots and pans made it very easy for a great homemade breakfast. Had a small issue getting into the cabin initially but this would be an oversight on my end as Mike had put the enter/check-in code in the initial message with me. Would definitely book again! 5/5

The location is about 20 minutes from the heart of Quincy, making it convenient for shopping and dining while still offering a peaceful and secluded retreat. The home itself was incredibly spacious, and we especially loved the enclosed front porch and back patio—perfect spots to relax and unwind. One of the best parts was the tranquility; with no close neighbors and only a handful of cars passing by all day, it felt like a true escape from the hustle and bustle of daily life. If you’re looking for a quiet, comfortable, and private place to recharge, this is it. Highly recommend, and we’d absolutely stay here again!
