The Soca valley offers you unique opportunities to explore the natural and cultural heritage of the Tolminska region. Apart from several museums, there are well maintained trails leading to places of cultural interest and energy spots. House On The Hill (Hiška Na Griču)

House On The Hill is situated on Idrijske Krnice plateau (1000 m a.s.l.), 12 km away from the old mining town of Idrija UNESCO. The idylic house is surounded with concrete bunkers (one with a sauna place* and second with selected wines) built by Italian army. Carefully selected interior, with close attention to local, natural materials and hand made furniture, creates a welcoming athmosphere. The house is perfect for anyone who enjoys peace and nature, loves hiking, cycling or fly fishing.

Cottage NA BIRU 1 by the Soca River

The Cottage Na Biru has one of the prettiest locations in the Soča valley. Undearneath mount Mrzli vrh and very close to our emerald Soca River on the edge of Gabrje village you will find a perfect spot for quiet or active holidays. There's tourist tax you have to pay at the arrival: 2 €/adult/day and 1 € for children between 7 and 18/day. There's one double and two single beds upstairs and a sofa in the living room, which means 5 people maximum. We can add a baby cot.

The Podbrdo train station is just 200 meters away, with a 10-minute ride by passenger train or car train to Bohinjska Bistrica, or 25 minutes to Bled or Most na Soči. The house is entirely yours — no owners or other guests — so you can enjoy complete privacy and peace.

Captain's lodge

The pleasant log cabin is located by the Bistrica river, only 100 m from the center and offers a starting point for many outdoor activities. It features a large private terrace overlooking the water, where you can relax even in the hot tub. The side balcony is just above the water, which especially in summer offers a nice freshness and where you can watch the fish in the river.
