We are situated on the outskirts of a private residential area, just 400 metres from the centre of the historic market town of Welshpool, there are various shops, supermarkets, pubs & restaurants. The magnificent Powis castle is a short walk from the town centre, through the beautiful parkland. Other attractions include Montgomery canal & light railway.

Dan y Coed means 'under the trees'. Our cottage has nestled under the wooded hillside of Tan yr Allt for 200 years. The cottage is on the outskirts of Llanidloes, a 10 minute walk to town. This cosy peaceful cottage is situated in an elevated position in the beautiful Shropshire hills in an AONB. It is a lovely place for walkers or cyclists alike or just for a haven to unwind . We are blessed with no light pollution and the night skies are amazing and we enjoy an abundance of wildlife with curlews , hedgehogs , bats to name but a few.

Modern, very comfortable and very clean. Sleeps 4, double ensuite room and double/twin room also ensuite. Outside area, fully equipped kitchen and comfortable lounge. In a quiet village setting with two pubs serving food within a two minutes walk of the cottage. Free wifi, smart TV’s in bedrooms. Until recently Red House Cottage was run as a B&B but the owners decided to fit a kitchen to create a self contained cottage for self catering holidays. The cottage is on the side of our home.
