Step through the door directly onto open Northumbrian fell — with Hadrian's Wall a short walk away, England's darkest night skies above, and complete silence all around. This stone bothy sits on a working hill farm accessed by its own private track. Inside: a wood-burning stove, a huge gable window with sweeping views, French doors onto your private deck, and everything you need — nothing you don't. Solar-powered, spring-fed water, and genuinely off-grid. A rare chance to slow down completely.

Swinburne Castle

Swinburne Castle is perfectly situated within its own beautiful parkland and gardens. Traditionally decorated, parts of the house have tremendous history dating back to the 12th century. The east wing is extremely comfortable and private, and don't be perturbed by the stone steps leading down to the vaulted cellar. A delicious continental breakfast will be provided in your rooms. There is ample parking and a tennis court you are welcome to use. lovely footpaths from the house for keen walkers.

South facing rustic stone built barn conversion for 4 people close to Acomb village within the Dark Sky National Park. A private garden from which to enjoy stunning views and stargaze. Hadrian's Wall, Hexham market town, country walks, cycle routes and village pubs all a stones throw from the doorstep. The Michelin Star restaurant,Pines is 10 mins away. We have further accommodation for 2 adults in a separate building, you will need to contact me directly to book this further accommodation.

The Boe Rigg restaurant and bar is a 10-minute stroll away and a variety of shops, cafes and restaurants can be found in the traditional market town of Bellingham just two miles away.

Charm can be found in the original stone walls, oak beams, woodburning stove, cosy furniture, and a king-size bed. An excellent touring base, located near Hadrian’s Wall, Roman forts, Hexham Abbey, and Kielder Water and Forest Park.

Hot tub is £80 payable on arrival. Our luxury glamping pods are home from home with all cooking facilities, Fully fitted en suite, Double bed and sofa bed. We supply shampoo, conditioner, shower gel and soap. We supply a continental breakfast. A full English breakfast could be supplied in you require. Free pick up after 5pm from Steel Rigg and free drop off before 9am. Dog friendly too. Small airfryer, small freezer and fridge.
