Rural Romantic Retreat At Sgubor Fach

A stone barn converted to a high standard semi-detached dormer bungalow, in the grounds of the owners home on a working farm which also includes a Shepherd's Hut, 6 miles from Dolgellau, 13 miles from Bala ,14 miles from Barmouth. The barn has been refurbished and is a delightful self-catering holiday cottage situated in a peaceful location overlooking Welsh countryside with stunning views from each angle to include the Aran Fawddwy, Aran Benllyn, Rhobell Fawr and Cader Idris mountains.

Sŵn-y-Dŵr is located in the Snowdonia National Park and occupies a tranquil position in the historic market town of Dolgellau, renowned for its breathtaking views and scenic walks in the foothills of Cader Idris. The former coach house stands in private mature grounds, and is approached via a gated entrance and a sweeping gravel drive ascending to the property. It is a self contained first floor apartment, accessed via external steps to the rear of the building, that dates back to 1780.

Gelli is an idyllic cottage, situated within its own private grounds. It’s surrounded by panoramic valley views and no near neighbours. The cottage is comfortable, cosy and well equipped. The stream side location provides natural spring water and a peaceful atmosphere. The gardens lead to road free national walking trails, including the famous Precipice Walk. Dolgellau town is 3 miles away. The cottage is secluded, cosy and tranquil, perfect for a solitary or couples retreat.

Accommodation comprises a double bedroom, a bedroom with queen size bed (suitable for x1 child/young adult or x2 small children sharing, a shower room and wc and open plan lounge, dining area and kitchen. An outdoor area adjoins the chalet with table and chairs and designated area for bbq with fire pit. Here is our newly completed shepherds Hut -Gwenlli a welsh name that depicts the view of Bardsey Island on the horizon. Situated in a peaceful corner of our field, nestled in the hills above the small village of Talybont in Snowdonia. Overlooking cardigan bay and boasting panaramic views from the Snowdon mountain range in the north to witnessing a memorable sunset over the Lleyn peninsula with a drink in your hand whilst relaxing in the easy to use electric jacuzzi hot tub.
