Garden Cottage, The Yair

Hidden away on a beautiful private estate in the Scottish Borders, Garden Cottage is a charming stone retreat for up to four guests. Overlooking a walled garden and close to the River Tweed, it’s perfect for walkers, cyclists, and anyone seeking fresh air and relaxation. From the doorstep, you can join scenic trails and connect to the Southern Upland Way. Enjoy tennis, fishing, and easy access to Glentress Mountain Biking Centre, or take a short train ride into Edinburgh for a day in the city.

Stables Cottage, Eskdalemuir - a peaceful place

Stables Cottage is a comfortable dog and child friendly home for up to 6 people, with two double bedrooms and a sofa-bed. The well-appointed kitchen can seat six, while the living room has two sofas in front of the multi-fuel stove. There is an enclosed private garden behind the cottage, with swings and a burn that runs through the woods across the courtyard. Deer, red squirrels, owls, badgers and hares live nearby, while the surrounding countryside is spectacular for walks and cycling.

WINDY HALL - Secluded luxury with stunning views

Windy Hall is somewhere very special. High in the Pennines it offers one of the most magnificent views in England. You may want to stay and enjoy the peace & quiet, but we are ideally placed for trips west to the Lake District, east to the magnificent cathedral city of Durham, and north to Hadrian's Wall. It's unusual in that you have to walk the last 240 metres to the house, though we will bring up your luggage in our 4WD. But don't let this put you off; please just read our reviews!

Foulbog Shepherds Cottage

Foulbog is a charming traditional shepherds cottage set on a working hill farm in rural Dumfriesshire. In a very remote location surrounded by rolling hills, with spectacular views down the valley. Although completely remote and secluded, this cottage has been recently refurbished with a cosy homely feel and has all the modern amenities needed including unlimited WiFi, luxury shower and log burners. The perfect place to relax and unwind with only the sheep & cattle for company.

16 Church Street

16 Church Street is a renovated 1 bedroom cottage with open plan living/kitchen area. Literally a moment's walk from the scenic town centre of Moffat with local shops, pubs, restaurants & other amenities. The cottage is next to a river walk & the town, is surrounded by stunning scenery; perfect for avid hillwalkers. Only 5 minutes off the motorway (1.5 hr from Edinburgh,1 hr from Glasgow & 45mins from Carlisle) it's a perfect en route stopover but even better for a week! Welcome!

Larriston Coach House, for a very rural stay

Larriston Coach House is a large four-bedroomed cottage, part of a very rural 19th century farm steading on 28 acres, with 2,500 acres of hillside starting at the doorstep. It's right on the Scottish Border, close to Kielder and Newcastleton (both five miles away), and ideal for visiting Kielder observatory, Kielder Forest, the Borders or north Northumberland. There’s plenty of space, inside and out. The skies are dark, the mobile reception is zero and the silence is deafening.

Ghyllie Cottage

We are dog friendly! We are also child friendly! Ghyllie Cottage is a two bedroom, two bathroom cottage that is over 200 years old! Wetheral is just 3 miles from junction 42 on the M6 and the village has great amenities including a Village Shop and post office, Cafe, and a great pub just across the road! Wetheral Railway Station is a short walk from the cottage with regular trains to Carlisle and Newcastle. Easy access to Gretna Green, the Lake District, Edinburgh and Glasgow.

'Courtyard Cottage' is situated in a courtyard - previously stables and tastefully converted to a high standard. Easy driving distance of the A74(M), with good rail & bus links. The cottage provides the ideal base to enjoy the many cultural and outdoor activities available in the area. Plenty of lovely walks, sailing, fishing, wild life and great night skies. Perfect to kick back and relax after a day of exploring the many attractions and scenery. parking is available.

Homely and peaceful 17th century cottage in the heart of Burgh-by-Sands, on Hadrian's Wall Path. Carlisle - 5 miles. Comfortably sleeping four (plus infant), in two double bedrooms, one with ensuite cloakroom, the house has a kitchen/dining/living space, cosy living room and spacious garden, with very little light pollution, ideal for star gazing. Ample parking Perfect for exploring the wildlife of the Solway Coast, the City of Carlisle, Gretna and the Lake District.

Switch off in quiet Bassenthwaite village in peaceful valley between lake & mighty Skiddaw mountain, 15 mins from popular market town Keswick - enjoy an open fire, Sun Inn pub 2 mins away (booking recommended), walks for all abilities (many from the door) & our runner ducks - if you want quieter lakes, villages & towns or the most popular locations, all accessible. 12 noon checkout on Sundays after 2 night weekends. The cottage is called Jemima Puddle Duck Cottage.

Come away to nature, peace, and tranquillity at an idyllic, self-contained stone cottage nestled in the heart of Northumberland, within a short walk to the North Tyne River, two village pubs, post office, convenience mart and church.
