Wir hatten eine wundervolle Zeit in diesem einzigartigen Airbnb! Die Lage ist perfekt für alle, die Ruhe und Natur genießen möchten. Besonders beeindruckt hat uns die exzellente Küche – jedes Gericht war ein echtes Highlight. Der Poolbereich lädt zum Entspannen ein, und währenddessen kann man die umliegende Tierwelt beobachten, was ein ganz besonderes Erlebnis ist. Das Haus ist offen gestaltet und liegt sehr abgeschieden, was für uns den Charme des Ortes ausgemacht hat. Allerdings könnte dies für manche Gäste ungewohnt sein. Wer aber die Kombination aus Erholung, Natur und exzellentem Essen sucht, ist hier genau richtig! Wir kommen gerne wieder.

it’s hard to sum up our stay with channa in a succinct way because it was unlike anywhere else we’ve ever stayed. the treehouse was extraordinary and the experience that channa and his wife a have built around making the stay as unique and comfortable and attentive as possible was incredible. firstly, channa is an exceptionally kind human who took great care of our family. he took our boys fishing on the lake and drove us to sigiriya for a day trip. his wife usha, is the most phenomenal chef who cooked delicious and abundant sri lankan meals for us each day which channa fetched from across the lake on his boat. we watched extraordinary electrical storms around us, and stunning wildlife coming and going. it was half pure adventure and half utter relaxation. our kids think it’s the coolest place they’ve ever stayed and i’m inclined to agree. could not recommend the treehouse more highly.

We had a fabulous stay! The view over Sigiriya Rock is spectacular and we loved being able to cool off in the pool. The rooms were clean and beds comfortable. Our host was very friendly and responsive. We would definitely recommend this place!

The chalet is situated in a very peaceful area, and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Although the larger pool was unavailable due to heavy rainfall the previous day, the host kindly allowed us to use the pool and kayak from another chalet, which we greatly appreciated. The food was outstanding—easily the best we have had during our time in Sri Lanka (albeit also the most expensive 😜). The hosts are extremely welcoming, and the service provided is exceptional. We would highly recommend this place to anyone considering a stay.

Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Banda hat uns sehr viel mit Aktivitäten geholfen und organisiert sowie uns für einen Abend ein super Restaurant empfohlen. Es war sehr sauber und gab viele Getränke im Kühlschrank. Das Essen war sehr lecker und es gab immer noch einen frischen Fruchtsaft dazu. Vielen Dank, für den tollen Aufenthalt 😊

It's difficult to find words to explain how amazing our experience in Chamila's place was. We haven't been received as guests, we felt more like a part of the family. Chamila is very hospitable, polite and humble and she, together with the whole family, including Snowy and Scooby, made us feel welcomed, we learned a lot about Sri Lanka, we ate amazing food (!) prepared by her mother and Elena even had a chance to try on one of Chamila's beautiful saris. Not to mention that she helped us to arrange all the trips in the area (and there's much to see - Dambulla is exactly in the middle of the "cultural triangle") and that we received parting gifts which will make us remember the visit when we're back home (we would anyway!). I've been staying in hundreds of places over the years and this is definitely on my personal top three list. If you're reading this, stop looking for different accommodation. You've just found what you wanted and you will never forget this place afterwards.

Unser Aufenthalt bei Hasham im Baumhaus war einfach toll! Das Baumhaus liegt abgelegen, mitten in der Natur – perfekt, um zur Ruhe zu kommen. Es gibt ganz in der Nähe einen Badeplatz am See. Hasham war ein unglaublich zuvorkommender und hilfsbereiter Gastgeber. Er hat sich immer vergewissert, dass es uns an nichts fehlt, und war jederzeit für Fragen da. Wenn ihr nach einem ruhigen Ort mitten in der Natur sucht, können wir einen Aufenthalt hier empfehlen!

We enjoyed our 3 nights stay at Peter’s cabin. It gave us a wilderness feel without really being in the wild. The cabin is in the village very near the tourist town centre. The space is as the photos. The cabin was clean. The bed was comfortable enough for us. It can get warm in the day but the ceiling fan on full blast helps. Lion’s rock can be seen clearly from the cabin. Although Peter was not there, he was a great host who was friendly, responsive and made every effort to ensure we had a nice stay.
