Rest S’More was absolutely the perfect destination for our family christmas vacation! We were looking for a place nearby our extended family who live in Golden Valley, and this was only a 10-min drive from their farm. The house was wonderfully stocked with anything we could need— extra linens, pillows, toothbrush, cleaning supplies, laundry detergent, and cooking essentials. Our two dogs enjoyed the back porch and private yard/driveway. And the views were stunning. 5 stars to these hosts!

We had a great time and this place was perfw t for our needs. Look forward to staying again. I would, however, place orange cones or some other safety device over the horseshoe stakes as they could be dangerous with children or pets running around or even being out in the evening.

Cozy retreat is an understatement. This place was great. Exactly as described. Peaceful and quiet surroundings. Would for sure recommend to anyone looking to escape from the norm.

Jonathan is a great host! He went above and beyond to make us feel welcome — he even left some duck eggs in the fridge for us. The house is beautiful and peaceful. Highly recommend!

Our stay at The Little Cabin was everything we were hoping for and more! It’s a lovely cozy space, clean, peaceful, comfortable, beautiful wooded surroundings, convenient to area attractions and dining, and the best hostess! Shannon was proactive in communicating with us, and very welcoming. She went above & beyond to make our stay easy & relaxing. We had our small dog with us, so the secure & pet friendly back deck was perfect for her to safely roam around. The Little Cabin is our new favorite getaway! We’d love to visit again!

If I could give 10 stars, I would. Roho's cabin is set in a beautiful area with the creek below. The cabin itself was so comfy and cozy. While being off the beaten path, the cabin had everything you needed and all the creature comfort details were thought of. The wood burning hot tub was a true delight. Truly such a lovely place. April was an amazing host. Great communication, very friendly and she also sent tons of recommendations for things to do in the area, although I didn't want to leave the cabin 😂 I can't wait to come back and visit again.

We had a great stay here for the last couple of nights, if back in the area we would definitely stay again!

We found this property so well appointed with all of the necessary items we might have lacked. Because of its location and the possibility of being stranded due to in-climate weather, Jason has stocked many items of which a person might need in the event they didn’t bring enough supplies for a few days. We looked at the food items that are stored as being a backup in the event we were stranded for a few days. Fortunately, for us, we over supply ourselves because other properties we have utilized were completely less supplied. We found that all the bases were covered for food, spices, dishes, snacks, as well as things like the barbecue grill and outdoor fire pit. We were very impressed with how the house was supplied and set up for a renter. It was almost like we walked into our own home with supplies existing. We were glad to have this wonderful experience, and would consider it in the future again.

We had a lovely time. It was very peaceful and relaxing after a hard days work. We will book again.

Christy's property was exactly what we needed for a girls trip to celebrate our friends 40th birthday. Every detail was thoughtful down to snacks for when we first got there to amenities in the bathroom in case we forgot things at home. The property itself was gorgeous and had so many places to hand out and relax. Christy was great to provide clear instructions to help us navigate the property as well. Could definitely see many more trips here in the future!

My family and I lost our home and everything inside the day before we stayed here. I couldn't express what joy it was to feel safe and clean in such a nice place after the disaster. Thank you for the hospitality and generosity with the thoughtful snacks, coffee, water, and available alcoholic and non-alcoholic wines and ciders. We would absolutely stay here again, as it truly was the best Airbnb we've ever stayed in

I stayed with my three kids aged 4, 8, and 11. There was plenty of space for a comfortable stay. We had dinner on the back porch listening to the sounds of the water. The space provided everything for a relaxing stay and we all really enjoyed exploring down by the river. Would love to come back someday!

For our family vacation, I envisioned an isolated space on top of a mountain, with private trails to wander with our pup—but close enough to the house that my family could walk back when they were over the hiking. This property was exactly what I wanted. The couch was comfy and fit all four of us (2 adults+1 kid+1 dog) with room to spare—the television was connected to WiFi so it was a snap to log into our preferred streaming apps! The only thing I was a bit disappointed in was the security floodlight installed by the electric company—but obviously that’s not within anyone’s control. Plus, it didn’t obstruct the magic of stargazing and relaxing fireside near as much as I thought it would—and it makes it safer, particularly since there are lots of outdoor stairs on this property. Corinne and David were extremely accommodating and incredibly friendly whenever I had a question or concern. We felt very at home here and definitely recommend this cozy home for your mountain getaway!

Beautiful and relaxing little cabin by a pond. Great for excursions to hiking spots in the region. Joey was very helpful and responsive. Be aware that there is no stove/oven, but there is a microwave and gas grill. We really enjoyed using the grill, which is on a patio overlooking the pond!

We loved this quiet peaceful cabin. Beautiful location, cozy atmosphere, clean & exactly as expected. If you want to just relax, enjoy the beautiful area, hike, etc it’s great. Also not too far for a day trip to Asheville or Charlotte. Forest City is a quaint town that is fun to wander with unique entertainment & restaurants.

Alicia & John were lovely hosts. Kitchen was well stocked with everything needed for cooking meals. There were extra towels & washcloths for our family of five. Lots of great info in their guest binder. Covered pier was an amazing place to spend mornings & evenings. Thanks for a fabulous stay!

District 12B cabin was beautiful. Smelled so nice and clean since the moment we stepped in. Was so cute and cozy. We watched The Hunger Games and enjoyed every second of our stay. Would love to come back another time. Overall it’s a great place to relax and enjoy with friends.

So quiet and relaxing! And the house had everything you would need, the host even let me call her so she could explain the tv/projector! Loved the place!

We had a wonderful stay. Host were very prompt in coming to our rescue when we turned off heat and ciuldnt figure out how to gurn back on... lol! Very appreciative for the opportunity to view your amazing lifestyle. Thank you for accepting pets! The dogs enjoyed the varied smells.

Pictures don’t do this place justice! I got to see my first live wild bald eagle on the first day and was infatuated ever since! Saw many Osprey and Cranes! Loved the beautiful creek front property. Some of the clearest water. Clay’s place is everything we look for and need in an Airbnb plus more. He was very kind and communicative. We hope to book here soon again! Thanks Clay!

Great outdoor space with many seating options. We enjoyed being able to grill and have a bonfire. There were also plenty of games and the pool table to keep us entertained.

This is a great location if you are going for Lake Norman. There is great boat parking and is close to restaurants and grocery. Highly recommend
