Woodpecker Cottage (Dog Friendly)

Set in the pretty, sandstone village of Great Salkeld, Woodpecker Cottage is the perfect Cumbrian retreat. This single storey dog friendly cottage, comfortably sleeps 2 and has the use of a large garden. You’ll love Great Salkeld with its excellent village pub, ancient church and its many countryside walks. The village is set in the tranquil Eden Valley, close to the river Eden. Just 10 miles from the Lake District National Park, it makes an ideal base from which to explore this stunning region.

Enjoy easy access to all amenities from this centrally located apartment. Situated in a quiet courtyard, beside a handy Italian restaurant (noise isn't an issue due to the position of the building) and only 5 miles from lake Ullswater.A comfortable, spacious living space, with two king size bedrooms and one comfy double. First floor bathroom with over bath shower, The top floor bedroom has en-suite shower room. As the house is reached via stairway it is sadly unsuitable for less able travellers.

With 3 bedrooms (2 king sized beds and 1 twin room) sleeping up to 6 guests and 2 living rooms, whether you're exploring the Lakes, relaxing by the fire or dining al fresco, Sunnyside is your perfect base for a peaceful countryside escape.

The Old Tannery

A traditional sandstone barn conversion, with a sheltered garden in the beautiful village of Temple Sowerby. Located in the Eden Valley you will be well placed for trips to the Lakes or the Dales. In the village there is a local pub offering 'Day Fishing Licences' on the local river, a church and 'The House at Temple Sowerby' if you prefer some 'Fine Dining'. A short beautiful walk will bring you to 'Acorn Bank' National Trust House, with spectacular walks along the river and a tea room.

Eden Valley hideaway - Hinds Loft

After a day exploring the beautiful countryside on your doorstep, watch the sunset from this lovely little cottage for two, newly converted from the byre and loft of a traditional sandstone barn. Peaceful and self-contained, but just across the courtyard from our Victorian farmhouse, it has everything you need for a comfortable stay with a well-equipped kitchen and wifi. The property is set on a smallholding in a picturesque Cumbrian village at the bottom of Hartside pass.

Rural 3-bedroom cottage in quiet village

Our mid-terraced cottage sleeps up to five guests in its three well-presented bedrooms, one of which is en-suite. The heart of the home is its living room, complete with a multi-fuel stove which brings some extra cosiness in the colder months, or somewhere to dry your boots after a day in the fells. We have free parking for two cars on the driveway outside the house, and around the back is a shared garden with outdoor seating, ideal for al fresco dining when the sun is shining!

On the crest of a country lane, Gill Beck Barn has stunning views over the Pennines and a spacious drystone walled and gated garden opening onto a hilltop woodland copse. Relax in front of the log burning fire after a day out exploring in the Lake District. Gill Beck Barn's tranquil and spacious setting will revive and refresh.

The Barn

Escape to our beautifully restored sandstone barn in the heart of the Eden Valley, Cumbria — an ideal retreat no matter the season. Nestled amidst stunning countryside in close proximity to both the Lake District and Pennines, this charming getaway offers the perfect blend of rustic charm and modern comforts, with original timber beams, a wood-burning stove, and a private outdoor patio and lawn. The Barn can be booked along with The Byre next door for pairs of couples.

Ravendale @ Howscales, Kirkoswald, North Cumbria

Ravendale was created from what was the main barn, it is full of character with its distinctive arched facade with characterful oak beams on full display inside. On the ground floor there are two double bedrooms and one twin bedroom, shower room, and bathroom with a separate shower. Upstairs is the well equipped kitchen and comfortable dining area together with a spacious lounge with a log burning stove. Ravendalehas been accredited 4 Star Gold by Visit England.

The Barn (4 guests / 2 beds) at Linden Farm House

Luxury accommodation in a lake-side setting between the Lake District mountains and the Pennine Fells. Feel free to wander the 10-acres of private grounds, gardens and woodlands. Relax lake-side, enjoy an alfresco meal and watch the sunset. If you feel adventurous take the rowboat or kayaks onto the water. Lakes, fells, mountains and Cumbrian hospitality await.
