Rock End Retreat is a spacious self contained bungalow with parking for two cars. It has easy access and is set in a peaceful and private setting on a working family dairy farm. The retreat is modern with plush bedrooms and comfy sofas with newly refurbished kitchen and bathroom. The outside area is securely fenced so that pooches can explore safely. We can offer farm tours for those interested in the milking process. Also The Woodland Watch shepherd’s hut can accommodate extra guests here.

Being just a mile from the famous Cat & Fiddle Road, the towns of Buxton & Macclesfield are only a 15 minute car ride away. Off road parking. Smallish dog by arrangement.

It is well located to visit the Peak District, or get the train into Manchester from Macclesfield or Congleton. There are a number of National Trust properties within easy reach , as well as Alton Towers, Chatsworth House, the antique shops of Leek and the pottery towns of Stoke on Trent.

Roachside Cottage

Take it easy at this unique and tranquil getaway. Roachside Cottage is situated in the beautiful Roaches Estate, a former private estate and grouse moor, now owned by the Peak District and cared for by the Staffordshire Wildlife Trust. The cottage comfortably sleeps 6 people, comprising of 2 bedrooms and a sofa bed downstairs. The views from every angle of the property are utterly breathtaking. Both barns are recent conversions and have many original features as well as modern comforts including underfloor heating downstairs, excellent WiFi, and finished to a high standard. Part of the ‘Cliffe Park Farm Stays’ and situated on a working farm, with parkland which has 3/4 mile frontage to Rudyard Lake as well as having the Staffordshire Way footpath running through makes this a great base for exploring the beautiful surrounding countryside.
