Basecamp cabin for two

This cabin is a great basecamp for heading to Pisgah and Dupont. Located within a mile of downtown, yet you feel like you are out in the country. There are beautiful mountain and pasture views from the back porch. There is a house on one side of the cabin, but a fence in between for privacy. Sit on the back porch and watch the Scottish Highland cattle graze while you enjoy a cup of coffee or a glass of wine. This property is on a working farm, so you may see farm equipment around the property.

AVL Bear Haven is nestled perfectly on the city's mountain ridge. It is only 3 miles down the ridge to Downtown Asheville, 5.3 miles to Biltmore Estate and only 4 miles up the ridge to Blue Ridge Parkway. Enjoy the tastefully designed unit with a huge front deck, views, nature & lots of fresh air. A baby grand piano is there for your musical inspiration. You may see a bear, or two, occasionally, so please be careful, lock your doors and do not feed bears! You will not be disappointed!

This family friendly, private retreat sits on a gently flowing creek under the shadows of Cold Mountain and the Art Loeb Trail. You may want to sit on the covered porch or deck while listening to the creek. If you love the outdoors or are a hiking enthusiast, our cabin is for you. We are about 20 minutes from the Blue Ridge Parkway. Waynesville, Canton, Maggie Valley, and Lake Junaluska are approximately 30 minutes away; a 45-minute drive will take you to Asheville.

1930s Walnut Grove Farmhouse

Walnut Grove Farmhouse, a renovated 1930s era home, is a remnant of an old farm. We are situated on 17 acres of rolling hills with handsome views from the upper pasture along with a stand of 14 walnut trees. Sit a spell on the porch, listen to the trickling brook (a roaring brook when we get significant rain), the sound of birds, the sounds at night and maybe some turkeys will venture through. We are located midway between Franklin and Dillsboro, Sylva, Cullowhee.
