Houndswood Farm

We have been told by people that driving the road to our farm feels like going back in time. We are located on a small narrow lane (boreen). Our beautiful farmyard is surrounded by magnificent dry stone walls that divide field boundaries and give you the link between past and present. We have worked hard over a number of years to convert the beautiful traditional stone outbuildings into modern comfortable accommodation for you to enjoy, we hope you like visiting as much as we like living here.

The relaxed sitting room beckons you to unwind by the cosy stove, its flickering flames creating a soothing ambiance. Treat yourself to a home cooked meal in the fully-equipped kitchen. This is more thank just a farm house; it is a sanctuary.

Situated 15km north of Galway City (just off the N84) and 3km from Lough Corrib our 48sqM apartment is an ideal base to explore Connemara, South Mayo, Galway City, The Cliffs Of Moher and The Wild Atlantic Way plus the wonderful variety of very Local amenities. Recently rennovated our apartment has a cosy but modern feel. Below our apartment is our vibrant music based community pub and pizza kitchen. A tidy workdesk and lamp is also available for remote working.

Carraigin Castle

13th Century Lakeside Castle, 6 Bedrooms, 2 Baths, (Sleeps 10-12) Surrounded by seven acres of lawns, park and woodland, Carraigin Castle is an idyllic holiday home in a beautiful setting on the shores of Lough Corrib. From the Castle one can enjoy boating and fishing, walking, riding and sightseeing, or just relax by the open hearth and contemplate the simple grandeur of this ancient dwelling, a rare and beautiful example of a fortified, medieval “hall house”.

A recently refurbished and spacious getaway in the countryside, with a private entrance and parking space, just a 15 minute walk from Headford town. Guests have separate access to their own living space which includes a kitchen and a private bathroom with shower. If your looking to stay warm and cozy then there is more than enough space to hang out or get some work done. Nearby attractions include Galway city, Cong, Ballinrobe and Lough Corrib.

Ballindooley Castle

The Castle rests on about half an acre of land with Ballindooley Lake lying to the south west. It is surrounded by low walls and hedges: with a gated entrance controlled by an electronic security system. Features include 3 murders holes and a dungeon The castle was built by the DeBurgo family (approximately 1480). It had the distinction of being shelled by the British Gunboat ” Helga” during the1916 Rising to disband rebels

Maple Lodge

Nestled in idyllic countryside but centrally located 5 mins from Headford town, 20 mins from Galway City & 20 mins from Cong. Its a 2 min walk from a regular bus route to Galway/Castlebar/Ballina, a short distance from Campbell's Tavern & the Angler's Rest Hotel offering great food and regular evening entertainment. The Lake House, Castletown

The Lake House in Castletown is on the shore of Lough Corrib and has magnificent views over the lake. It is set on a beautifully landscaped 2 acre private site at the end of a quiet country lane. The house comes with its own pier from which a boat can be arranged for fishing or a boat trip. It is an ideal base to explore the west of Ireland or to fish Lough Corrib.

Creggduff Cottage

Newly renovated bungalow situated 10km drive from Galway city. Creggduff Cottage is located down a quiet lane 4km from the local village of Corrandulla, 13km from Headford and 29km from Cong. This house is a wonderful starting point for visiting the Wild Atlantic Way, Cong, Cliffs of Moher and exploring Galway city.
