This is a stunning stone barn conversion that sits right upon the Tees---a fast moving, great fisherman's river. Renovated with an eye to comfort and respect for the bones of the building. The Cottage is a five minute walk to Barnard Castle, a charming town with half a dozen pubs and plenty of restaurants and cafes, recently listed as one of the UK’s best rural places to live! A brief walk takes you to Bowes Museum and its famous Silver Swan. The Teesdale Way walking route passes the door.

Outside is a patio garden & furniture. Enter via a double height dining hall, to an open plan kitchen and living room, traditionally furnished with exposed beams and deep window recesses. Downstairs is a large bathroom (bath & walk in power shower). Upstairs two large bedrooms with reading chairs.

This is a spacious and cosy holiday home for up to 6 guests with Visit England Gold Awards for 2022-2023, 2023 - 2024 and 2024- 2025! On the first floor there is a superking bedroom with private shower and wc. On the ground floor there is a kingsize bedroom and also a twin bedroom. Here there is a downstairs family bathroom with a wc, shower and bathtub and a third additional downstairs toilet. The house is situated on a quiet street on the south side of the River Tees in Barnard Castle.
