Oak Framed Home with Countryside Views

Get back in touch with nature at this luxury cabin nestled in a quiet hamlet. Find tranquility on the terrace surrounded by breathtaking views, or lounge amid thoughtful decor and chic modern finishes in the exposed oak beam interior. Blue Vale is brand new as of June 2018! We helped to design this green oak framed building and have been involved in the whole process of building it, doing much of it ourselves. For our colour scheme we have used different shades of blue throughout, playing on the name of Blue Vale. The furnishing and finishing touches are of a high standard to help promote a comfortable and luxurious finish. There is an eclectic style combining modern country with industrial finishes. Luxury, high thread cotton bedding and towels, large flat screen smart tv's and luxury Neals Yard toiletries help to give the top-end finishing touches we would appreciate if we stayed away from home. Blue Vale is completely self contained but sits in the grounds of our family home. The decked outdoor living space is screened by trellis on the garden side with fields on the other. You would be very welcome to walk around our garden. We can be as interactive as you wish. With living in the same grounds we are close at hand if needed. We will welcome you when you arrive but will be respectful of your privacy. The glorious Blackmore Vale landscape is a tapestry of farmed green fields with a sprinkling of English villages, of which Sandley is one. Walk out (or cycle, using our available bikes) onto country lanes and venture along a web of footpaths to discover this unspoilt part of Dorset. Visit Stourhead, stroll around the ancient towns of Sherborne or Shaftesbury or discover the beautiful Jurassic coast. Visit Longleat safari park, Haynes Motor Museum, Monkey world & Yeovilton Air Museum. Sandley is a quiet hamlet with the neighbouring village of Buckhorn Weston just a mile away. The Stapleton Arms pub can be found here. We are 10 minutes away from the towns of Gillingham and Wincanton where various supermarkets, shops and services are. There is a train station in Gillingham which has a direct route to London in less than 2 hours. The larger cities of Bath and Salisbury are less than an hours drive and it takes around an hour to drive to the beautiful Jurassic coastline. The historic towns of Shaftesbury and Sherborne are only 15 and 20 minutes away respectively. The quiet rural roads and bridleways of the Blackmore Vale are excellent for cycling and walking. Blue Vale is in the grounds of our family home. There is a one- bedroomed B&B facility on the ground floor of our home.

The Hive 🐝♥️

The Hive is a luxurious self-contained tiny-house located in the beautiful town of Blandford Forum. This Georgian market town has lots of charm, and is the home to the famous Hall and Woodhouse brewery and their flagship hotel The Crown. The Hive is a 2 minute walk to the trailway, which is perfect for walkers, runners and cyclists. Blandford Forum is just 15 miles from the Sandbanks beach, and a short drive from the Jurassic coast. Blandford is also the home to Teddy Rocks music festival.

A good place to explore the Jurassic coast & attractions such as Durdle Door, Lulworth Cove, Corfe Castle, Studland, Swanage, Arne Bird Sanctuary, Monkey World, Bovington Tank Museum & Wareham Forest. 5-minute walk to the picturesque quay & town centre which has pubs, restaurants, cafes, supermarkets, buses to tourist attractions & a cinema. 10-minute walk to station. Parking on available on drive.

All on the first floor with separate entrance - we live downstairs. Adaptable - contact to discuss more than three guests. Consists of two double bedrooms (one regular double and one small double bed), shower room and separate living area. Living/dining space has small kitchenette area with a fridge, microwave, kettle, single hob and toaster plus dining table for four. Also has small lounge area with a Smart TV.. High speed WiFi, central heating, off road parking (subject to vehicle size).

The Cabin offers a relaxing and private get away in West Dorset close to the Jurassic Coast. The Cabin is perfect for 2 adults with flexibility for a small cot & dogs are welcome. It has a private garden space overlooking nearby woodland. There is an open plan living & sleeping space with double doors opening onto the decking creating an inside out feel. The location offers easy access to nearby towns and coastal spots: Studland, Corfe, Wareham, Dorchester, Lulworth, Swange, Weymouth.

The Little Barn is a 200 year old, thatched, cob cottage. It is a self-contained studio guest room with an entrance in the garden of the main house. It is perfect for a couple using the comfortable king-sized bed. It is thoughtfully decorated and furnished with modern fittings, including a cleverly fitted kitchenette. This picturesque cottage is located in the quiet, rural setting of Shitterton, in the village of Bere Regis, Dorset. We are within easy reach of Dorset's many attractions.

During your stay explore the Dorset coast & forests, eat delicious meals at our local restaurants & pubs, spend a relaxing evening in fully covered hot tub surrounded by festoons lights, or spend the afternoon in the garden. The Annexe is a couple minutes walk away from pubs, restaurants, M&S & Tesco & lovely woodland walks. Sky sports is include.

The self contained Garden Room Annex

The private Annex has it's own access via the rear garden and is connected to the house via a lockable door. The Annex is a bed sitting room with basic kitchen facilities, a shower room and outside area, all for your sole use. You can choose a Large double or 2 single beds in the room. Towels, soap and linen are provided. Teas/coffee/milk available in the room. TV, Fridge, microwave, kettle, toaster, fan, iron/board, plates, cutlery. There's an Airfryer available on request.

The Stable Barn - Luxury Spacious Cottage for Two

The Stable Barn is a comfortable, centrally heated cottage with split level interior and sculptured mezzanine. It provides extremely spacious open-plan accommodation for two. Wifi - Superfast fibre To the rear of the barn is a partly walled garden laid to lawn and gravel with clipped hedges and shrubs.
