We had a group 10 for a bachelor party. At first we were a little worried about the idea of Paula staying at the same residence since we had such a large group, and weren’t sure we’d be able to play music etc. not only was Paula great at giving us privacy she mentioned that she had hosted DJs in the past and was comfortable with noise, she was extremely accommodating and even cooked us breakfast both days. Truly an amazing stay.

We keep returning to Poppy's Place for a reason. We always enjoy our stay. The home is spacious and comfortable.

We loved our stay at Hart house. We were surprised to arrive and see it really was right across the street from the temple. It was an amazing view, not to mention the view of the mississippi river down the hill. The home is appointed in antique and arts & craft period pieces. There was lots of room for our family of 6 too. It was beautiful and just fantastic. The weather got cold and very windy and we enjoyed staying indoors that evening and enjoying the beautiful home and view. This is not a comment on the house but Nauvoo in general for April. There is very little to eat in town. There is no grocery store in town and Keokuk 20+min away is the closest city with grocery stores. We decided we’d just eat out. Well, Casey’s gas station is the only place open for breakfast before 10am, and gratefully, their breakfast pizza and breakfast wraps are ok. For dinner, the nauvoo inn is open on the weekend but on a weekday night, the Red Front is all that’s open. Just a heads up!

I am looking forward to come back here. The host was very responsive and helpful. The place was clean and accommodating. Very impressed.

Kelly is awesome to work with and gets back with you super fast. The place is great and location for us is perfect.

What an outstanding and fabulous place to stay. It felt like walking into a dream private location with the luxury of amenities in addition to the quiet serene surroundings. If we ever visit the area again, this would be my top choice of accommodations, bar none. Thank you Greta for taking great care of the details that benefited us individually. What a gem!

I was in town for an event for one of my customers. The hotels in town are not the best so this was so much better than anything else out there. I will definitely book again when needed!

This is the 2nd time I have stayed in this location. Both times have been fantastic. Rebecca is a very responsive and accommodating host!

My girlfriend and I absolutely loved this house! She repeatedly said during our stay, "We're squatting here. This house is ours now. We're not leaving." The vibes are absolutely on point with the house. It has a very retro vibe, something I expected with "Fleetwood" in the name. The front porch was our favorite part -- with the string lights and windows, it felt very cozy. The house is conveniently close to downtown Burlington, so if you're looking for food or drinks, you don't have to go far. Plus, there's a grocery store less than five minutes away. **Side note, while staying at the house we went to the local record store (Weird Harold's) and found a copy of Buckingham Nicks from 1973 -- before they joined Fleetwood Mac. So it felt a little bit like destiny we stayed at the house and found this iconic record** We aboslutely want to return in the near future! Such a cute spot in a nice area with plenty of hiking and shopping in town!
