Historic Stone House in Peaceful Chrissiesmeer

Stay in a house rich in history: Barclays erected the sandstone building in the early 1900’s. After many other uses it was renovated as a self-catering guesthouse accommodating six people in 3 en-suite bedrooms; 2 double bedrooms & a twin room. Beautiful wooden floors, fireplaces and stained-glass doors in the living room, lots of original paintings and fully equipped kitchen add to the warm ambience and atmosphere of the house. Sunbird Cottage - Relaxed Farm Getaway

Sunbird Cottage is on a working farm 30km from Volksrust and Wakkerstroom Wetlands, it is a place to come and relax and recharge, we are off grid. There is great birding, walking, mountain biking and bass fishing on site, there are also kayaks for the dams. The cottage overlooks a gorge that goes down to the Slang River with an indigenous forest and has great views over the valley towards Amajuba Mountain and Battlefields for those interested in history.

Crane Haven is a luxury self-catering house situated on a beautiful Golf Estate. It boasts with a beautiful garden and dam in front of the house. The house offers 3 bedrooms each with an en-suite bathroom. The house has a fully equipped kitchen. Forget about load shedding as the house has a solar system and back up water tank. Full DSTV and free Wi-Fi. Enjoy the view or simply just take the canoe and row across the dam. It is a bird watcher's paradise.
