If desired, we are delighted to guide you through the house and share with you almost 200 years of our home's rich history. Roam freely through our 120 acres of gardens, farmland and woodlands, or enjoy a guided tour of our grounds and learn of present day efforts to transform our land into a nature reserve.

Charming 15th Century Castle

Built in the late 1400s, Grantstown Castle has been lovingly restored and mixes medieval architecture with modern comforts. The Castle Is Rented In Its Entirety and caters for up to Seven Guests. The castle is comprised of six floors, connected via a stone and oak spiral staircase. There are three double bedrooms and one single. The castle has great battlements which are accessible at the top of the staircase and host amazing views of the surrounding countryside.

Cluain Woodland Yurt

Nestled in the beautiful rolling hills of East Clare, retreat from the busyness of life to a unique experience in nature. It’s a really beautiful and comfortable space with trees and a small forest. This semi off grid yurt is designed to provide you with comfort. The yurt is attached to a private kitchenette and a small bathroom with hot shower and a toilet. Inside the yurt, you will sleep in a very comfortable double bed with a warm duvet and a cozy stove.

The Calf House

Stay on a real working Irish farm in the hills of North Tipperary in a converted 100-year-old calf house. Walk through the farm track to the top of the farm hill where you can see across six counties on a clear day. Explore quiet country roads and rolling hills beside historic Ileigh Church, or visit nearby attractions like the Devil’s Bit, Lough Derg and the Rock of Cashel. A peaceful rural retreat in the heart of Tipperary.
