AWD isn't needed (our Nissan Altima does great) It can be intimidating at first, but you will conquer and in no time enjoy the challenge! The cabin is in a mountain community called Ocona Lake Estates. Located 5 miles from Bryson City and 5 miles from Cherokee NC/ Oconaluftee Visitor. Catoloochee Ski resort is 18 miles.

Strawberry Patch is a historic set of quaint cabins located right on the bank of the Little River, you can even hear the babbling of it right from your room. Over the acre property there is a small waterfall & ample room to relax right by the river, or in it! Or, if sitting on the porch over looking the river and reading a book is your thing, there are tons you can pick up right in your room. By night, you can sit around the authentic fire pit.
