Lovely cosy place to stay in the heart of Dorset

Oak Tree Barn is a self-catering holiday accommodation in the heart of the village of Hazelbury Bryan, Dorset. The conversion was completed in early 2012 using locally reclaimed materials and keeping many of the original features. The Barn is warm and cosy in winter and cool in summer, the detached Barn has a large open-plan lounge and kitchen with views towards the local hills. The two bedrooms (one double with bath, one twin with shower) overlook paddocks where sheep graze and chicken forage.

The property is quietly on the outskirts of the village of Hazelbury Bryan and is within a 45 minute drive to the Dorset Coast. The market towns of Sherborne, Blandford Forum and Dorchester are all within 20 minutes drive.

Set beside a peaceful stream with woodland views and birdsong, it’s perfect for a rural getaway. The self-contained space has 2 bedrooms (one with cot), a fully equipped kitchen for home cooking, and a shower room with washer and dryer. Enjoy the wood fire, private deck with grill, village shop and pubs. A peaceful home away from home to unwind and explore the charm of rural Dorset.

The Old Rectory near Sherborne

Located in the heart of Purse Caundle village, The Old Rectory is a 17th century stone house with the guest wing added in 1992. A traditional cider barn selling food & drinks is a 2 minute walk. Cycle routes & walks from the door and great pubs & restaurants within a 10 minute drive. Jurassic coast 45 mins away. You have use of our orchard (which has a stream running through most of the year) with seating, BBQ and log burner. Lounge has Sky TV, Netflix, HD Sky sports & Disney+

The Garden Cottage on the Stock Gaylard Estate

Private and charming, nestled in a family Estate in Dorset. The cottage sits behind the main family house and is accessed through the long private drive through the deer park. It has two bedrooms, one bathroom, kitchen and snug room to cosy up around the log burner or watch a film. Immediately outside the cottage is a secluded and fenced garden, complete with a hot tub and the sounds of birds. Dogs are welcome, but must be kept on leads in fields with farm animals.
