My stay at Sam’s was so great that I came back after a short trip away - and it was just as great the second time! Everything was just as comfortable, clean, and well-stocked as before. The location makes it easy to get around to the beach, restaurants and shops, and once again Sam was super helpful with recommendations and connections to help make the most of my stay. Mariama again cooked some delicious Gambian dishes and juices to try at the house. I'd highly recommend, and have no doubt I'll be back (again)!

If you are the kind of traveler whose purpose and travel is to take delight in the serendipitous experiences that you might encounter along your way, you will adore Celine‘s place. The experience we had staying there will be one, I am certain, I will cherish for the rest of my life. Celine‘s hospitality was unmatched. She spent time with each guest personally and shared her passion for hospitality. The accommodations were comfortable and provided everything we needed. The grounds were beautiful and expertly maintained. But what stood out the most was the communal meal each morning and night, where Celine’s expert cooking reflected in every single thing that we ate or drank. Do yourself a favor and visit this place if you would all can.

Un petit coin très préservé sur une dune et deux cases juste derrière, protégées du vent. C'est un bel endroit isoler pour se reposer et profiter de la plage. C'est très simple et authentique comme sur les photos. La case bénéficie d'une salle de bain avec lavabo, wc et douche. Lamine est très bon cuisinier. A ce prix difficile de trouver mieux... Chez Sarah et Thom vous trouverez une ambiance familiale, joyeuse et internationale. Ils cultivent en permaculture un jardin magnifique dans lequel vous trouverez toujours un palmier, bananier ou manguier sous lequel vous poser pour profiter de leur bibliothèque. Autour du bar se retrouvent toutes les nationalités pour un tournoi de pétanques ou une soirée reggae ou simplement le partage d'une rencontre avec les locaux. Sarah et Thom sont pleins de ressources pour vous organiser des visites dans la région et vous vous pourlècherez de la cuisine de Sarah. J'ai adoré mon trop bref séjour, j'y retournerai avec mes enfants car tout y est accueillant vu qu'ils ont un petit garçon de 2 ans.

We loved our stay at Auberge La Praline in Toubakouta. The accommodation was simple but clean and pleasant, and very spacious. The pool was wonderful and the kids loved playing in it. Above all there was a friendly atmosphere and this is a relatively small and intimate place to stay. Toubakouta is a beautiful small town and well worth a visit, but the expert suggestions of Yéyé (apologies if i've spelt it wrong) about what to do and offers to help arranging excursions, drivers, boat tours are well worth your time. All the staff were helpful, friendly and laid back and we really enjoyed our stay here.
