Storybook Castle BnB

Sheldon Castle is a registered Baldwin County Historic home. It is a unique, artistic structure right in Fairhope but secluded on a side street. The Eastern Shore Art Center is down the drive and across the street. From there you are in wonderful downtown Fairhope. The studio suite is a completely private part of Sheldon Castle with the Sheldon descendants in the rest of the home. Mosher Castle with a moat and dragon is next door. Our guests are invited to walk the grounds of both castles.

Walk down the driveway to the front pasture to see our fun new additions- alpacas and emus! Create lasting memories roasting marshmallows on the porch over our cozy fire pit. Soak in the stunning surroundings. We are conveniently situated just outside Mobile, with easy access to Dauphin Island and the Gulf Coast’s many beautiful white sand beaches!

Your family will be close to everything at this centrally located home located in the Tillman's corner area of Mobile, AL. The house is approximately 1/4 mile from a new Dollar General and 3 miles from interstate I-10. In 2024 we did an interior renovation of the house, so that it now features LED lighting, freshly painted walls, new floors, new appliances, a tile shower, granite countertops, and brand new furniture. Welcome to Cottage on Caroline, a precious and happy home that is in Old Dauphin Way Historic District A neighborhood that is enjoying revitalization and value appreciation. The entire home was renovated. The ceilings are 10' and the hardwood floors are original and full of character. Huge fenced backyard. Dauphin St Entertainment District is a 5 minute walk away. The home also sits on the bike path and is a block and a half from the Mardi Gras parade route.

This is a beautiful neighborhood to take an evening stroll and see the 100+ year old homes.
