The cabin was built out of 100+ year old reclaimed materials with 15 foot vaulted ceilings on the main floor. With poplar bark walls, incredible lighting hand cut slate floors your stay is guaranteed to be enchanting. Sit in the hot tub and look at a waterfall while listening to another waterfall behind you and river below you.

Sophie's Cabin~ A Secluded and Charming Getaway

Sophie's cabin is tucked away in the forest of the gated Riverbend Community. It is a quiet retreat ideally suited for a couple looking to unplug and be in nature. It's both spacious and cozy with a private bedroom, full bathroom, full kitchen, and a comfortable living room. There is a large private deck behind the cabin with a dining set, gas grill, and 2 lounge chairs. A large Ingles grocery store and several restaurants are open nearby. Our private lake is open and as pretty as ever.

Our sweet retreat

Our Sweet Retreat sits down hill from the main road. With a private paved parking area. The house sits approximately 12 steps below parking area with large wrap around porch. The main living area is open with vaulted ceiling. There are two bedrooms on the main floor and a full bath . Upstairs is a small loft and master suite with full bath, fireplace & private deck overlooking the lake. There is a large stone fireplace on the North end of the cabin and a covered deck on the lakeside.

Bear River Lodge is the perfect quaint cabin for your Lake Lure getaway - only 3 minutes away from the Rumbling Bald Resort with access to all of the resort’s amenities. This 3,000sf home features 3 bedrooms plus a den with a queen bed with sleeping accommodations providing comfortable sleeping for up to 10 guests, 3.5 bathrooms, a spacious screened-in porch, a pool table and a hot tub. Relax and enjoy the splendor of Lake Lure and the beauty of the Blue Ridge Mountains.
