The Outhouse Country Cottage

Nestled among the Cheviot Hills & Northumberland countryside, this traditional stone-built cottage offers comfort, charm & relaxation. Surrounded by wildlife . A large, private garden is the perfect place to unwind & enjoy the peace. A short drive from Thropton & Rothbury, you’ll find welcoming pubs, local shops, restaurants & nearby attractions like Cragside & Simonside. With character & personal touches throughout. Our cottage is the perfect base to explore Northumberland’s beauty & heritage.

Stand alone, wild, off-grid woodland pod

300 yards walk across the fields and over 2 stiles, from the car parking area, totally off-grid camping pod, with solar panel for lighting and USB phone charging, a composting loo and gas shower. Situated in a stunning bluebell wood, with breathtaking views of Cheviot, Simonside and the Coquet Valley. The Pod stands alone, with just the abundant wildlife to share the woods with. The pod is very basic with no heating, a 2-ring gas hob and small sink, and a fire pit area with fallen wood for fuel.

Historic Rothbury Gem

West End House is Rothbury’s official oldest home, set on the charming High Street. This spacious stone house blends historic charm with modern comforts. It features a large dining room with original beams, a cosy sitting room with Chesterfield sofas, smart TV, and an inglenook fireplace. Sleeps 6-8 guests 2 rooms with king-sized beds and 1 room with double bunk bed. Enjoy the enclosed garden with fairy lights, perfect after a day exploring the hills. Sundial Cottage, Northumberland National Park

Located in the Northumberland Village of Netherton this 2 bed cottage located within the Northumberland national Park. The cottage was previously owned by the Armstrong family owners of Craigside and Bambrugh Castle. In the past its been a post office and a sweet shop. Fully refurbished to a high standard to provide guests with a luxurious relaxing stay. Close to all of the Northumberland Coastal and Country favourites as well as some secret ones. Perfect for hill walking, running or cycling.

Spacious, newly refurbished 3 bedroom house, with terraced garden leading down to the riverside of the Coquet. Fabulous, tranquil location for riverside walks from the door and with Rothbury's pubs, cafes, restaurants and shops just minutes away. Superbly located for the National Trust properties at Cragside and Wallington, and the Northumberland National Park. Up to 2 dogs welcome. Not suitable for those with mobility issues as flight of steps to front door and all bedrooms upstairs.

A self catering holiday home a stone's throw away from the River Coquet in the beautiful Village of Rothbury. Built of natural sandstone by Lord Armstrong of the famous Cragside Estates in the 1870's, Ethie Lodge sleeps up to four people in comfort with two bedrooms and two bathrooms. It is featured in the Village trail leaflet as 'state of the art' workers' housing of the time! Tucked away from the Village centre down a quiet private path Ethie Lodge is deceptively spacious.
