The cottage has a recently modernised kitchen and bathroom but also maintains all of its period charms including some low beamed ceilings & exposed timber walls, with a large bedroom & storage for bikes.

Brail Barn, Great Bedwyn

Our cosy Barn is furnished to a high standard and is situated close to the main house in nine acres of grounds and within walking distance to two idyllic villages which have excellent dog friendly pubs. It is ideally positioned if you are seeking a relaxing break with many stunning walks and bike rides or wish to work away from your office. (The office is available for those who stay at the barn for a week and for an additional charge of £100 during BST months and £120 GMT months)

Shalbourne is a beautiful village about 3 miles from Hungerford and 8 miles from Marlborough and in an area of outstanding natural beauty. We have a friendly village pub which has a large and varied menu and a village shop which serves delicious fresh coffee and pastries. The Annexe is a comfortable twin-bedded studio set in our 2 acre garden which has far reaching views over the surrounding countryside. There are great walks and cycle rides from our front door.

The accommodation is a 1 minute walk to Kennet & Avon Canal. 20 minutes drive to J14 of the M4. 30 minute drive to Highclere Castle (Downton Abbey!). 1 hour drive to Stonehenge. 57 miles to Heathrow Airport. 7 miles to Marlborough. 6 miles to Hungerford. 14 miles to Newbury. The studio is good for couples, solo adventurers, and business travellers.

The space is a sumptuous and comfy open plan barn adjacent to a Manor House set in 5 acres of garden. The barn is located near to popular Hungerford and renown Marlborough. A couple or single person could stay. No pets or babies allowed. They'll be a selection of cereals, bread, butter, jam and marmalade for you to have for breakfast.
