Escape your busy life and unwind at Grandma's home of hospitality in the quiet and quaint historic town of Dixon, IL! Fishing and boat enthusiasts can take a short 3-block stroll to behold the breathtaking views of the Rock River dam and waterfront. Located only 0.8 miles away is our adorable downtown where you can explore quality retail shops, a charming bookstore, bakeries, a fine art gallery, wine shop, multiple fine dining restaurants. Grandmas House can not be booked for parties/events.

GOOSE ISLAND CABIN -Secluded Riverside Eco-Retreat

Nestled along the banks of the Rock River under tall oaks, ye ol cabin was built by early settlers in 1907. Legit rustic charm. Secluded yet only 10 mins from town. 100 acres of private property, bordering Lowden-Miller State Forest. Includes canoes/kayaks, large riverfront yard, grills, hammocks, porch and firewood. $33/night per person or pet after the first 2 ppl, incl. visitors. 3 night minimum w/ Fri or Sat. 2 night min. for Sun-Thurs. Msg Tim for larger groups & events. Closed for winter.

Skip & Reed's River Retreat

Wonderful riverfront home located just south of Castle Rock on the Rock River in Oregon, IL. Enjoy beautiful views of the river while enjoying the heated pool (open May 15th through Oct 10th). Enjoy fishing off the lower yard. Must love cats as there are friendly outdoor cats! The Oregon area has plenty to do including exploring the nearby state parks, climbing Castle Rock, visiting John Deere's home, antiquing, tubing and boating down the river & enjoying the quaint area shops & restaurants.

Basic amenities provided (toilet paper, paper towels, etc). Street parking in front of house. Wifi and smart tv with Roku in living room and one bedroom. Second bedroom has work station. Laundry room with stacked washer/dryer. Kitchen has stove, microwave, toaster oven and Kuerig coffee maker.

The front living room shares an office workspace nook both enjoying large windows flowing in light from the north. A center bedroom with queen size bed is accessible from both living room and front hall, next to the all in one washer/dryer. The back half houses a kitchen with new appliances, dining room, bath and 2nd bedroom with full size bed!

Close to John Deere, Lowden and Castle Rock State Park, and Nachusa Grasslands. 10 min drive to Dixon and Oregon IL.

The Lakehouse

Lakefront property for rent, rest and relaxation includes beautiful home on 6 acre lake with guest house - sleeps up to 17 with 3 full bathrooms, bar, fireplace, outdoor kitchen, boat dock with canoe and flatboat, private beach, floating swim dock, walking trails, and 50 acres of pasture. Hunters welcome. Weather conditions causes lakes and ponds to have an increase in algae bloom & duck weed. Because of this naturally occurring event the condition of the lake cannot be guaranteed.

Lil House On The Prairie (LHOTP) is aptly named because it’s located on the edge of Nachusa Grassland’s 1,000 acre south Bison pasture. The 100+ herd of free ranging Bison can often be viewed right along the boundary fence to the west! This recently remodeled two bedroom cottage can sleep six with two queen size beds and with a pull out sofa bed. LHOTP offers a quiet, convenient, and comfortable place to base your adventures from.
