Beautiful place for the kids to get outdoors along with a wide space indoors for more intimate family time. Absolutely loved our stay here.

Our stay at The Lantern was an amazing experience to immerse yourself in nature, reconnect and reset.See kangaroos in the early mornings and enjoy beautiful fires at sunset up on the wilderness cocktail bar taking in the wonderful views and listening to the peaceful sounds of nature. Lovely peaceful haven, tucked away at the end of the road around a pretty dam. Cottages are well spaced, well equipped and the grounds lovely to stroll through with our dogs. We loved doing a BBQ breakfast on the terrace and dinner in the restaurant was very good also. We would return to stay here again. Wifi reception is not great, but the peace and quiet is the trade off.

this place was absolutely stunning! the entire area was well kept and was so beautiful. the place had unique amenities, such as a bread machine and many complimentary items. the host was very responsive, kind and informative and gave good recommendations for the area. the spa was lovely, and was the highlight of the stay. 10/10 would recommend this place !

It’s a great place for relaxing with friends, where is not far from city ,very quiet and peaceful. We very enjoyed the wood fire in the yard and also walked down along greens Rd ,drove around mountains roads and met cute animals.

Great, quiet location and comfortable house. Nicely renovated bathroom and kitchen. No laundry though. The kids loved playing in the yard and exploring. We saw a wombat, kangaroos and kookaburra. The birds were lovely to wake up to in the morning and the fireplace was beautiful to relax in front of.

Staying on the river was paradise. It was beautiful - especially from the deck! My only two suggestions is to share there is no wifi and that the beds are pushed up against a wall. Also, at least for us, there was no data connection. We were able to go into town and use the cafe wifi, but if we had seen in advance (there was a message about no wifi at the bottom of the description), we would have prepared better for working remotely. Also for older people, the beds only allow one person to get out and the other person has a wall they sleep along. Other than these two minor items that can be communicated in the description, the accommodation, the location and all of the extras are excellent. We enjoyed the bbq, the kayaks, the hammock and the firepit. Everything was comfortable and the a/c was helpful sleeping at night when there was a controlled burn. We definitely recommend staying here.

Definitely up there as one of the best Airbnbs we have stayed in. Spotless and private space and an easy five minute drive to either Ettalong or Umina Beach. It was an incredibly well designed space, from the pocket doors to small tables next to power points to hold your devices, cereals and barbecue condiments available in the kitchen. The space was incredibly private with no line of visibility into the little self-contained flat. Would love to stay here again!

Second time coming here and it was as good as the first. Made awesome memories here two times, feels like home

4 days at Captains Cabin was so relaxing. We went kyacking around the island & to Lovetts. Fished off the jetty & caught so many different types of fish. Flathead, Snapper, Brim, Flounder, Whiting... Scotland Island is full of lovely alternate locals wandering by & wildlife.

Best place to chill and relax. Kim and Terry are the best host. Great hospitality! Their place was spotless clean, and was same as described. They were very kind to offer us fresh limes, mandarins and eggs from their farm. Highly recommended ❤️

A fantastic stay in a rustic cabin. Mackerel Beach is a stunning spot, and this cabin makes the most of it with an incredible upper deck offering breathtaking views—not to mention what might be the best outdoor shower I’ve ever experienced! The perfect escape from the city to unwind and explore the simple things — cooking, bush trails, walks and swimming. We took our two young boys who loved it (they were also absolutely fine making the journey up to the cabin).

We stayed at La Cabane for three nights to celebrate my birthday, and it was everything we hoped for and more. From the moment we arrived, we felt completely at ease. The space was exactly as described: beautifully presented, spotlessly clean, and filled with thoughtful touches that made our stay incredibly comfortable. The location was perfect; peaceful and private, yet just a short stroll to the beach. That easy beach access quickly became one of our favourite things. It felt like we had our own little sanctuary. This was hands-down one of the most relaxing getaways we’ve had. We left feeling refreshed, grateful, and already dreaming of our next stay. Highly recommend!

We had a lovely stay at Astrid’s riverside cabin. It was a lovely, secluded weekend away. We enjoyed kayaking on the river and Col who did the boat transfers for us was fantastic as well. Would highly recommend as a couples getaway.

The loft villa was absolutely fantastic. Everything I had imagined and more. The view was amazing, quiet and peaceful, dozens of Wallabies right out the front at sunrise and on sunset. Highly recommended for a romantic weekend away in a fantastic location.

The house is bigger than it looks in the photos, very cozy and comfortable. I will definitely be back
