The place had a warm and cozy ambiance, making it a perfect retreat. The balcony offered a breathtaking view—ideal for sipping tea while soaking in the scenery. We particularly appreciated the small kitchenette, which allowed us to store leftovers from restaurants and easily reheat them. The room itself was spacious and comfortable, adding to the overall experience. However, it’s worth noting that the property is about a 10-minute downhill walk from the main chowk, meaning the return trip involves a good amount of uphill trekking. There is a shortcut, but it comes with a steep flight of stairs. While this makes it a fantastic stay for young and moderately fit travelers, elderly guests might find the climb challenging unless they have a personal car or two-wheeler. Overall, it's a great choice for those who enjoy scenic stays with a touch of adventure!

Charming Room with Balcony | The Birdhouse Retreat

Birdhouse retreat is very well located, acting as a starting point to some great treks. It’s at a walkable distance to Dharamkot and Mcloedganj, making it a cozy, offbeat and quiet spot. It’s a hikers dream! The staff and Ashish are super responsive and gracious hosts. Don’t miss out on their dinner after a good days hike! The accommodation comes with a tight knit network of cabs and cafés around, so you won’t have much to figure out yourself. Many thanks to the Birdhouse team!

Travel : Mar '23 Stay is very good. You get cabins with one big bed and one small bed, with an attached bathroom as well. Nearest shops are around 1-1.5kms away, so you need to walk that distance. Stay is fully surrounded by forest trees and we were able to see snow peaked mountains as well. We also got bonfire at night. The food cooked was very tasty, especially the homestyle chicken. We got a big spider in our cabin as well as the bathroom was not clean. So, on informing them, they changed the cabin as well. ♥️ Cons : We felt the bedsheets were not clean enough.

It's was a great experience at the Attic house. we has a lot of fun. The place is situated at naddi and it was a quite place. The only disadvantage of the quote location was that there were not very great cafes or restaurants. So to have some good food and basically to explore mcleodganj we were required to book a separate taxi. But that was not a big issue as the comfort and the vibe of the place was great. I really had a great experience.

Muna ji and Shivam ji are great host even their son Alak, all are amazing. they were Responsive and gave us homely vibes. I enjoyed stay as well as their company. I must recommend everyone to visit if you are looking for peaceful and serene place near dharamkot / upper Bhagsu.

The Wilderness Dome

Great location, beautiful surrounding atmosphere, great staff. Most friendly and helpful receptionist and staff ever, lovely and great first impression of hotel. Everything about the dome was exceptional. It was clean, stylish, roomy with excellent service in where we had lunch.Room itself was well equipped and comfortable. I was very pleased with my stay. I hope to be back for a longer visit in the future.

Very responsive host. The property has a great location and beautiful views from the dhauladhar facing rooms. The in house restaurant served delicious food, both in breakfast and room service. Rooms are well sized and absolutely clean. The staff there is very polite and greatly helpful for all our needs. Exceeded our expectations for the price we paid really. Highly recommend.

We loved our stay. It’s a real gem of a find. The food is amazing and everyone working here are really friendly and helpful. A great place to be in nature and appreciate the surroundings as well as plenty to do in the complex. Really great place to relax.

Pranav place is beautiful and the people working there are very helpful and considerate. Meet some lovely people from around the world. The place is set in a beautiful wooded valley away from the centre. It is called Yogi Nook on Air B&B but don't be put off with this it has something to do with Air B&B and not a slam. It is known locally as Evolve 2 . But this is the same place Enjoy your stay

One of the best place to stay in Barot. Munish made our stay absolutely comfortable. We went there for some video shoots because of the location and Munish helped us with that as well. He is an excellent cook and the food was yummy and fresh. Will Definitely visit this place again

Meditative Meadows

We had an amazing stay at Meditative Meadows. Our host, Ramnik Narula, was incredibly welcoming and accommodating, providing us with delicious home cooked meals and warm hospitality throughout our stay. The surrounding area had plenty to do as well - we enjoyed walks and treks along the majestic & astonishingly beautiful views of Dhauladar ranges. Overall, it was a wonderful experience that we highly recommend for anyone looking for a peaceful getaway in Dharamshala! Our stay truly felt like we had a home away from home. If you're looking for an unforgettable experience in beautiful Dharamshala then look no further than Meditative Meadows - it's definitely worth a visit!

amazing place...hotel window view directly points to "bir" the starting point of paragliding... eat food outside... bring your own booz or buy local wine... paragliding reduced to charge 1600 per person(Talk to Lakhan ..shop outside the hotel entrance)

Wir hatten wunderschöne letzte Tage in Dharamkot 🤗 Alle waren sehr freundlich und es gab auch einen Abend mit Lagerfeuer! Die Unterkunft war eine der saubersten auf unserer ganzen Reise und wir hatten alles was wir brauchten. Wir waren in der Winterzeit hier, jetzt war teilweise nicht so viel los, aber trotzdem gab es viel zu sehen gleich in der Nähe und leckere Restaurants. Leider hatte das hauseigene Cafe aufgrunddessen geschlossen, aber anscheinend gibt es dort „organic indian food“ - klang sehr lecker! Danke für alles :)
