This perfect hideaway features a luxurious canopy bed, elegant fireplace & full kitchen all hidden in a red barn on 180 acres. Enjoy water supplied by our private spring, explore the creek, walk through trees & secluded fields, watch deer & turkeys, look for Moonshine Hollow where a "revenuer" was shot during prohibition, have coffee on the patio, roast marshmallows, visit the town square , browse quaint shops, take a photo w/ Minnie Pearl & try amazing local ice cream. Papa John's Farmhouse

Relax with the whole family at this peaceful place to stay. A front porch with rocking chair, deck that makes a quite place to sit and grill. It is located on a farm that was purchased in 1935 by John McCaleb our Grandfather, GreatGrandfather that we call PapaJohn. Surrounding properties are farms containing thousands of acres. Piney River is scenic and has a canoe company that will take you to get into a canoe and float 5 miles to fish, swim or just enjoy the scenery in a quaint neighborhood

Wee Nook- a Hobbit Hole

Wee Nook is a 360 square foot living space with a full kitchen and bathroom. It is tucked underground in the middle of the woods. Please come enjoy the woods, farm animals, trails, pond and wide open space while you're here! As JRR Tolkien said: “In a hole in the ground there lived a hobbit. Not a nasty, dirty, wet hole, filled with the ends of worms and an oozy smell, nor yet a dry, bare, sandy hole with nothing in it to sit down on or to eat: it was a hobbit-hold, and that means comfort.”

Whispering Waters Cabin by the Creek

Whispering Waters offers a quiet space to relax and enjoy your time spent away from home. It is a four room cabin adjacent to Caney Fork Creek, which feeds into the South Harpeth River in Fernvale. The cabin easily hosts four guests. The queen size bed is complimented by a sleeper sofa in the living room, which sleeps two as well. It's an intimate space located in a lovely setting. IF you are booking "same day" please give me a call so I can make any necessary last minute arrangements.

Forest stay in underground cedar Gully huts where you walk between structures and separate bathhouse. You won't run into anyone, this is a secluded getaway. Collect eggs, pick berries or hang out by the fire pit, hike to the creek and waterfalls, but don’t forget to pack bug spray and a sense of adventure!

Piney River Farmhouse

Welcome to our guest house, located on the Piney River in Dickson County. This private, gated home is located only a few miles off of I-40, 10 minutes from downtown Dickson, and 45 minutes from downtown Nashville. This private space is above the garage and features 650 sq ft of livable space, an office area with wifi, as well as a refrigerator, Keurig, microwave, toaster, and a TV with plenty of cable channels (plus a fire stick for streaming).
