Location is key with this charming bungalow rental. The house is one block away from beautiful Lake Pontchartrain, with walking/bike paths, kayaking, water sports, and several of Louisiana’s most magnificent live oak trees. We are conveniently located across the street from LaLou restaurant; open daily serving breakfast at 7:30am. Numerous restaurants, shops, entertainment and the St Tammany Trace are just steps away! Ruthie’s Balcony Suite bears the name of our beloved family matriarch. And for good reason. It’s the best room in the house. Vaulted ceilings soar above a huge bedroom/living area, including a spacious kitchenette and full-sized bathroom. But it’s the balcony you’ll love most. Overlooking the corner of Esplanade and Chartres, it’s the perfect place to people-watch while enjoying the pot pourri of sounds that drift over from the nearby markets, jazz clubs, and bustling Mississippi waterfront.

Look no further! This quaint BnB is the perfect destination for your stay in the charming town of Madisonville, LA. Located just 45 minutes away from New Orleans and one block off of the beautiful Tchefuncte riverfront, you can walk to nearby restaurants and coffee shops, retail stores, boating, festivals and more. This guest suite is located on the back side of our main house, but guests will enjoy complete privacy equipped with their own separate entrance. Come relax at "Blue Dog BnB" :)

Circa 1840 brick building, The Balcony Suite with private bathroom was recently Restored/Renovated with new furnishings and fixtures.. Monday-Friday 8-5 we're not a quiet corner but on any night it’s relaxing, providing a restful night. Our neighbor, Race & Religious, hosts weddings with live music but never past 11PM. If you need to go to bed early, we might not be a good fit. Uniquely located, close to the Garden District, Arts/Museum District, French 1/4 and the Conventional Center
