Don’s beautiful VanHoevenberg Ridge has become our home base in the ADK, and a “home away from home” where we return several times a year to relax and enjoy the beauty of the mountains and lakes in all seasons. This is by far the best place we have stayed since we have been coming to the ADK for over 30 years. If you are lucky enough to stay here, you’ll be back! Don’s place has everything you’ll need, and is near to everywhere you’ll want to go. The views of the High Peaks are stellar, and the hot tub is relaxing after an active day outdoors. Don is a welcoming host who truly cares that his guests have the best experience, whether avid hikers or simply wanderers seeking serenity and renewal in the woods and waters near his home. He respects your privacy, but is happy to provide his knowledge of the area to find the best hike or paddle for you. This place is our North Star in the ADK: bright, constant, and a place we’ll always look to return to. We recommend it highly to everyone!

Truly a wonderful escape just a couple hours from the city. The cabin is much nicer than pictures. Open kitchen and living room concept. Amazing property on the lake. Great views and super cozy!

A Place With A View was the perfect description. You could see Seneca Lake from inside, the covered porch, the firepit and the hot tub. We had a problem with the TV our first night. Dan called us immediately to try to work us through the problem. When it could not be corrected, Dan came the next day and fully addressed the problem. It is a great location for wineries, breweries and restaurants. Lots of plugs in the bedroom made easy use of our phone chargers and medical devices. Loved the two Lazy Boy sofas! Ability to use the carport was a real plus as they were calling for severe storms and possible hail on our first night. Would definitely return again. Dan and his wife were great hosts and appreciate them sharing their home with us.

Pristine clean, cozy, one bedroom condo unit located in Windham with seasonal access to tennis courts and a pool. Walking distance to the beautiful Windham Path. Slept better than at home in the comfy bed. Went for two days of midweek remote work. Agnieszka, the host, was gracious and responsive. The host obviously put some genuine TLC into this place and it shows. Browsed for books at Briars & Brambles, an indie bookstore in Windham adjacent to Windham Pharmacy. Purchased groceries and firewood down the road at Hickory Hill Market . Ate in area at Higher Grounds and Windham Diner. Living room has a fireplace with large screen TV just above. The Chalet was just perfect. Listing perfectly described what you were getting with this little piece of paradise! The Sauna was easily workable. The hot tub was clean and ready to go. The whole house was immaculate and roomy yet cozy. Perfect distance to the MANY MANY WATERFALLS the boyfriend and I were chasing. Skiing at Whiteface will be happening in the future, and hopefully using Judi's gorgeous Chalet to ease my weary bones once again in the future. Laurie was very accommodating. Her place was very comfortable for a friends’ get-away. Location was perfect. The house had everything we needed to cook in, and was close enough to places to go out. Ample towels and extra blankets, etc. We enjoyed the outside screened in porch since it unfortunately rained during our stay. Thank you.

Beautiful home in a very private area. Lots of family games and lots of outside things todo. Me and my family had a wonderful Easter weekend get away. Only complaint I would have is the jacuzzi smelled weird and stuff was coming out of the jets but other than that it was perfect! We all were very comfortable and had a blast with the kids.

DJs place was wonderful for a ski vacation get away. It is a warm and inviting spot that is quiet. Great for kids and friends to gather and enjoy time together. Would definitely book again!

Clean, easy to access, spacious, lots of amenities, and more. It was worth every penny.
