Serene Creekside Log Cabin in National Forest!

19 months after Helene, we are finally open again! 😊 The Log Cabin on Neil's Creek is situated on private land inside the Pisgah National Forest at the foot of Mount Mitchell. Neil's Creek, a North Carolina wild trout stream, flows just off of the large, covered porch. Several trailheads are walking distance from the cabin including the summit trail to Mt. Mitchell, the Mountains to Sea trail and Set Rock Falls. Experience the relaxing qualities of nature, waiting for you any time of year.

Winter Star Mountain Retreat, Creekside

We are so happy to announce our property is once again ready for guests! In the flooding of Hurricane Helene, September 27th 2024, our community was severely impacted. The surrounding area still shows many signs of the flood, but the roads are rebuilt, and it is safe to access our property. The cabin and is just as wonderful as pre-Helene, but we did sustain damage to our driveway bridge, so we ask guests to park right before the bridge and walk, not drive, across until it can be repaired.

Gorgeous mountain views from the front porch and Pisgah National Forest in the back yard make this condo a cozy and quiet place to relax and watch the stars at night. Plenty of hiking trails nearby, minutes from the Blue Ridge Parkway, and more just outside the door! During the summer the HOA hosts local musicians to perform at the pool or clubhouse once a month. The pool may close a little earlier on those evenings.

Escape to the mountains of North Carolina in our 3 bedroom 3 bath Townhouse. Enjoy hiking in the many nearby trails, fishing in the South Toe river or golfing on the many local courses. Downtown Burnsville has some great restaurants, small shops and live music. If you want something with a little more variety try eclectic Asheville, a scenic hour drive away. After a busy day relax and enjoy the Starry Nights from our spacious deck.
