The unit is located one block from the Mississippi River. Walking distance to several restaurants and pubs. Iowa welcome center is in the Port of Burlington on the river just east of the unit.

Please note, this guest house is located 1 mile down a county maintained gravel road. 25 minutes from Galesburg, IL, 20 minutes from Monmouth, IL and 35 minutes from Macomb, IL.

This cabin is nestled by the bridge across from Pittsburgh, Iowa, just a few miles west of Keosauqua. Accommodations not only include the cabin, but also 1.5 acres of flat, riverfront land to play, relax and enjoy nature. A screened porch with seating overlooks the Des Moines river. Guests can also enjoy the outdoor fire ring. The amazing wildlife along the river is absolutely beautiful. If you enjoy the outdoors, hunting, fishing and nature, this is the cabin for you!

Enjoy an exclusive view of the River, the FM Train Depot and Old Fort Madison from this 2nd floor true-studio apt. No cleaning fee for repeat and 5 star guests! The space has modern décor and all of the comforts of home. Railfans will enjoy the trains and river fans will enjoy the unique east-west river movement. There will be train sounds! The Vernon Street Guest House - Suite 2

Built in 1900 and renovated in 2022, Suite 2 shows little signs of the once quirky old space. Completely private, with all the amenities, it boasts a spacious bedroom, 1 bathroom, a fully equipped kitchen, dining area, living room with a desk for workspace, and a laundry room. While you're here, we hope you are able to relax and enjoy the well lit deck along with a cup of freshly roasted coffee, which we are happy to have provided.

Right in town yet surprisingly tucked away. Good for extended stays, staycations, romantic get away or just passing through. Guests do not have access to river from this property.
