Built in 1867, the Averill Block is consider the oldest continuous use commercial building in the State of Michigan as well as the oldest building in downtown Bay City. The 12 ft ceilings and 8 foot tall windows allow for a light and airy feel. Located steps away from everything in downtown Bay City, you can simply park your car for the weekend and walk to everything. Peaceful and cozy, this one bed, one bath cabin sits on the edge of the woods on our private lake. Adjacent to state land between Midland and Mt Pleasant, our cabin offers a convenient, private, and peaceful getaway from the day's events. Unplug and take a walk along the lake, enjoy some fishing, paddleboarding, or a bonfire before turning in for the night. Enjoy a lake view from the main bedroom. Close the doors to the living room to create a second private sleeping area on the fold out couch.

This home was created for my wife (Sarah) after we received difficult news of her cancer diagnosis (Ewing Sarcoma) while pregnant. We were able to create an uplifting environment to support her as she battled courageously. Unable to leave the home much, we decided to bring life's beauty to her within the home and around the property. Sarah was the ultimate host who loved to bring people together. We now visit for my little kids to remember their mom. We hope you enjoy it as much as we do!

Even though the property is only a few minutes off I-75, you'll feel like you're in another world. Only 15 minutes from Saginaw Bay.
