Kayak Cottage - solitude with river access

Recently transformed from a horse barn, Kayak Cottage now bears little resemblance to its former use - the hosts managed to retain the former barn's rustic charm while completely redesigning the structure. An eclectic mix of materials were re-purposed to create the welcoming space - both inside and out. Located on a rise above the Collins River - the river is not immediately visible but is only steps away! There is also easy access for launching kayaks or small fishing boats on the property.

Sunrise Mountain Cabin

Welcome to Sunrise Mt. Cabin is located on top of the Cumberland Plateau with a great view of the valley check out our 2 other cabins Patriot's Retreat & Sunrise Mtn Treeshouse. The cabin has approximately 1400 square feet and is fully furnished with full kitchen and more. Hiking trails and fishing pond only a short walk away. Several major state parks with hikes within a few miles of the cabin. The cabin has fiber optic WiFi which is not shared. Pet cats not allowed; we are allergic.

This 1920 built home offers a cozy charm to enjoy the covered front porch, clawfoot tub, vinyl ready stereo system, back deck, fire pit, stocked kitchen, disc golf basket, or just curl up with a book. Meanwhile, within a short drive there are adventures waiting in almost every direction: Rock Island, Cumberland Caverns, Barren Fork/Collins River, Short Mountain Distillery, Drive-in Theaters, ISHA, Stone Door, Greeter Falls, Fall Creek Falls, Center Hill Lake, Virgin Falls to name a few.

Private Guest House. We welcome you to our homestead in the making. We have cleaned up and made many improvements to the property and guest house has been remodeled. Enjoy campfires under the stars, free-ranging chickens and ducks. Cats and dogs will lovingly greet you! Just 20 min to McMinnville. 10 min to Isha yoga center. 15 min to the Cumberland Caverns. 30 minutes to Fall Creek Falls and Rock Island. Cell service is spotty here. McMinnville is the closest shopping/restaurants

Grandview Treehouse with Bluff Views!

We offer a location where you can get away to just relax, enjoy the views and fish in our well stocked pond. But if you’re more adventurous, there are local areas for hiking, repelling, atv riding and cave exploring, all within a short driving distance. Some of these include Stone Door State Park, Greeter Falls, Fiery Gizzard trail, The Caverns music venue and cave tours, and Cumberland Caverns. There is also golfing available at 6 locations within an hours drive or less!

The Farm House at Pleasant Cove

Built by the host's grandparents in the 1940s, The Farm House is nestled in a rural valley along the Cumberland Plateau. Guests looking for a quiet vacation in a country setting can also enjoy features like Wifi and cell reception. Despite its remote location, The Farm House is just 10 minutes from the town of McMinnville and just 5 miles from Cumberland Caverns, 10 miles from Rock Island State Park, 15 miles from Isha USA, and 25 miles from Fall Creek Falls State Park.

Nice kitchen and laundry room. There is a large back deck with outdoor eating area and a hot tub. There is a fire pit out back to chill and star gaze. This location is less than 4 miles from Rock Island State Park.

The Farm at Charles Creek in McMinnville

The farm is just 6 miles from downtown McMinnville, 15 miles from Rock Island State Park, 30 minutes from Cumberland Caverns, 35 mins from Isha and various outdoor attractions throughout the area. Purchased as a dream home by the host in 1990, the Farm at Charles Creek is perfect as a peaceful, southern farm house or just a beautiful place to stay while you visit McMinnville.

Hannsz Hideaway

Same place with a new exterior look. This has now become an active family farm that requires land and livestock maintenance on a daily, you may hear a bit of noise during daylight hours, unless it’s a holiday weekend when my kids visit, those weekends can get a lot louder. I have been trying to keep my kids quiet for nearly 38 years…..if you’re a parent, you understand.
