Self contained cottage on farmland overlooking the gum trees and horses. Enjoy the cozy indoor fire (wood provided) and outdoor fire pit. Beautiful for a country getaway 10 minutes to McLaren Vale & Willunga and just down the road from Kuitpo forest. Many incredible restaurants and wineries an easy commute. Explore — to traverse an area for the purpose of discovery (e.g. exploring the valley in search of exceptional wine) 🍷 Tucked among the vineyards, the Explorers’ Cabin is the newest addition to Terrafirma - a warm, timber retreat designed for couples who want to slow down. Inspired by the spirit of exploration, the cabin features maps and a telescope for star-gazing. It’s a place to rest, look outward over the vines, and feel both immersed in nature and effortlessly close to town.

Strout Farm Cottage Est. 1842.

Strout Farm Cottage still belongs to the Strouts who have lived here for more than 180yrs. Starting with Richard Strout, there have been 7 generations of Strouts live in this cottage. Most of the furniture, photos and ornaments come with a story of where they fit in the Strout timeline. Additionally, there are more than 20 cellar doors within a 1.5km, including Leconfield, Wirra Wirra and Down The Rabbit Hole, this is the perfect location to explore the McLaren Vale wine region..
