Big Bear’s Den - On Lake Alexander

This spacious home is located on beautiful Lake Alexander just west of Merrill, Wisconsin. Enjoy the tranquil view year-round as you plan the many activities that this location offers. You bring the boat, and we'll supply the dock. Throw in your ski's or wakeboard, and don't forget your fishing poles! Three pound small mouth bass are not uncommon and the monster's of fresh water fish, the musky, are plentiful. Add in walleyes, crappies, northern pike and this location is a fisherman's dream!

Shalom Retreat

Enjoy a stay in the cottage in the big woods! The lane leading to it winds a half mile back from the road. This place will be a highlight because of everything from the spacious yard surrounded with woods, kitchen fully stocked with dishes, open, cozy living room and cute bedrooms. It is a family friendly place including a Foosball table, board games and toys. Also has a picnic table and backyard fire pit (firewood included) or you can choose to grill your favorites on the covered back porch.

* Extra sanitizing measures are in place during the COVID-19 Pandemic. * My place is cozy, clean, and quiet with all the comforts of home! It is located half way between the highway and downtown. You will have the entire upstairs to yourself during your stay, including a bedroom with a queen size bed, a bathroom with shower, and an open concept kitchen, dining area, living room, and work desk. You'll also have your own private entrance and free off street parking in the back of the house.

Cozy Forest Cabin–Pooh’s Hideout @Friedenswald

Pooh’s Hideout is a unique, small cabin nestled beside Owl’s House. Fully insulated & heated, it stays cozy in winter & cool in summer with AC. Inside, you'll find a handcrafted futon that converts into a full-size bed with storage. The shared full bathroom with a shower is just 50 yards away in the barn. Relax indoors or unwind in the shared open-air pavilion. Enjoy evenings by one of our firepits or cook on the gas grill. A peaceful place with rustic charm—perfect for nature lovers!

Located just two blocks from the downtown Wausau restaurant and shopping district, this modern ground floor 2 Bedroom apartment is tucked in a unique and private location which offers easy access to enjoy downtown by foot, bike or car. The apartment is well suited for a busy work trip, busy vacation, or just to relax. January 2026 note- Great skiing stay or work stay with our solid winter weather and snowfall. Great improvement in 2025 in adjacent downtown area and pedestrian access.

My place is close to the city center, art and culture, great views, restaurants and dining, and parks. You’ll love my place because of the high ceilings, the location, the coziness, and the kitchen. My place is good for couples, solo adventurers, business travelers, and families (with kids). The home is only 2 blocks from bars and restaurants and less than 5 blocks from Historic Downtown Wausau. We only live a mile away, so please contact us if you need anything during your stay!

Daniel’s Place

(Must walk up a handful of outdoor stairs) Unique, peaceful, and affordable - Daniel’s Place is 3 blocks from the Riverlife walking path, leading directly to downtown, and 3 miles away from Granite Peak Ski Resort. Daniel’s Place is the perfect spot for weekend ski trips, city biking, trying local restaurants, farmers markets, kayaking, and exploring the city of Wausau. Come make yourself at home 🙂

Lake Front Cabin-East

Located on the southeast side of Mayflower Lake, this getaway is 65' from the water with a 23' dock shared with up to one other guest, fire ring, and grill. The cabin, one of two, is a functional, newly remodeled approx 400 sq ft design with your vacation in mind! Swim, kayak, paddle-board (both free to use) & fish! Minutes from other fishing lakes, snow mobile trails, Ice Age Trail, Eau Claire Dells, golf courses, casinos, and Mountain Bay Trail. 30 min from Granite Peak.

Higgins' Homestead

Experience a quiet, relaxing stay at in a charming little home! Only 1 mile from downtown Wausau, WI. with easy access to restaurants, local YMCA, coffee shops and more! Renovated 3 bed, 1 bath with A/C and elegant maple hardwood floors. Fully equiped kitchen and laundry area, as well as a pleasant fire pit surrounded by strawberries! Queen sized beds in two bedrooms, and a futon in the third. We provide all that you need, to just show up and enjoy a relaxing stay!
