Unfortunately no dogs/children/ infants are allowed as we are a working sheep farm & surrounded by water. One Bed Beautifully Restored Listed Cosy Bothy

NB: The barns opposite have recently been purchased and will be restored in due course, so daytime building works are possible. Our Bothy is a beautifully restored one-bedroom cosy and welcoming retreat in a peaceful setting, surrounded by an acre of meadow and hills. Just over a mile from the ducal village of Thornhill’s shops, cafés and pubs. Full of original character, it is an immaculate, fully equipped and comfortable base for relaxing, walking and exploring scenic Dumfries and Galloway.

Built around 1860, The Bothy offers two comfortable double bedrooms and a bathroom with a step-free shower, all on one level with the kitchen-living area. Amenities include a wood-burning stove, Netflix-equipped TV, and a fridge-freezer with ice, ready for your G&T. Set within an acre of dog-friendly gardens and surrounded by woods and farmland, The Bothy is a perfect place to unwind. The Annexe is attached to our home and dates back to 1883. It has had various uses over the years; a sweet shop in the 1950s, a meat store for the local butcher, and a place where the milkboys used to shelter from the weather. After being in a state of disrepair for the last few decades, it is now a comfortable place for those who wish to stay in a quiet village location with good amenities, great walks on the door step, and access to central Glasgow and Edinburgh in under an hour.

Mary Queen of Scot's chamber at Neidpath Castle is perhaps the most romantic place to stay in the Scottish Borders. Explore privately the whole castle and then retire to enjoy your suite rooms. The antique four poster bed, deep roll top bath and open fire evoke earlier times, but are truly comfortable and luxurious. An elegant table is set for breakfast. Peebles is 10 minutes walk away, with a host of shops and restaurants, as well as a museum and award winning chocolatier.

Fairy Cottage

Fairy Cottage is a self contained, fully equipped detached cottage, set in private grounds with private parking. Private patio area with garden furniture. Quiet and peaceful on a summer's evening. High Chair and travel cot available on request. Additional day guests only permitted with prior permission. Fairy ur Cottage has a capacity of a maximum of four people sharing two beds. There is a comfy kingsize bed in the main bedroom and sofa bed in bedroom or lounge.
